Default Can't start campaign - Filename

    Hey!

I can't launch the campaign (Steam). I get a CTD saying:

    "Error:Filename doesn't exist :
    ibfd/data/models_strat/BI_strat_diplomat.cas"

Checked the files and there is a file by that name in the correct folder. Don't know what I'm supposed to do. It is a clean install of Rome btw.

Strange. It should work. Have you done all these steps:

    - Install IBFD to Steam/SteamApps/common/RomeTotalWarGold
    - Install IBFD 7.03 UPGRADE to the same path.
    - Go to your Steam Library, right-click RTW and click Properties. Then click Set Launch Options and paste this in: RomeTW-BI.exe -nm -show_err -mod:ibfd and click OK.

Sort of. Downloaded both files through MODDB as the filefront link didn't work (said that the file was missing).

    1. Copied the "bi" folder to desktop,
    2. Renamed the copy to ibfd,
    3. Installed 7.0 with the path to desktop.
    4. Copied over the files from the temp folder to the ibfd folder and overwrote.
    5. Moved the new ibfd folder to the original "bi".
    6. Installed the 7.03 folder to desktop.
    7. Copied and overwrote the new files from the desktop to the "ibfd" folder inside "bi".
    8. Added the launch options mentioned above.

I can launch the mod without a problem, but I can't launch the campaigns (tested a few of them).

I also tested the 7.03a download by Leon (with a fresh install). Same problem.

I'm running Windows 10 if that matters btw.

No need to do all that, just do this:

    - Install IBFD to Steam/SteamApps/common/RomeTotalWarGold
    - Install IBFD 7.03 UPGRADE to the same path.
    - Go to your Steam Library, right-click RTW and click Properties. Then click Set Launch Options and paste this in: RomeTW-BI.exe -nm -show_err -mod:ibfd and click OK.

Sorry but now I can't even launch the mod.

The RomeTotalWarGold folder looks like this now:

It doesn't feel right, shouldn't the "ibfd" folder exist inside the "bi" folder? And there should be no "ibfd_TEMP" folder right? Has this problem something to do with the fact that I downloaded the installers from MODDB?

The Rome install was fresh before I tried your solution. Any ideas?

    EDIT:

I was running the manual installer as I couldn't find any instructions for how to install if one had Steam if for the automated installer (the Steamlink in the "Main Download" thread is broken). Testing your instructions for the automated installer now.

    No, it should be "outside".

    Nope, no "ibfd_TEMP".

    No, that's highly unlikely.

Good, that should work. Installing it on Steam is very easy, so just follow the instructions above.
