How make neutral uniform colors?

Okay so I'm trying to make a unit that's based off warrior nuns, but my version of them uses the faction's colors instead of the warrior nuns' default white uniforms. How do I change this? I've tried searching for it in the db files but I couldnt find anything that relates to uniform colors, and when I tried editing the uniform textures myself (it was the gloss.dds file I think) via GIMP the textures become a mess ingame.

Wait nevermind. Turns out my DDS plug in for GIMP made the textures somehow unreadable ingame, but editing it via Paint.net seems to have done the job. Just had to erase the textures in color_mask.dds
