I've got a question about file sizes. All of the official TWCenter badges are 4kb (except Gaming Director and Feral Interactive at 21/22kb and Censor at 9kb). How are the file sizes so tiny?
My Commissar badge is 26kb, whilst the Duffer one is 22kb.

There are several versions of .png files.
My PS versions is quite old, so it's probably not the most recent png format, hence it might be bigger.
You could also try reducing the colors number or make a colour profile.

It might also be due to the resolution of the badge. Some of the "old" one have had their resolution lowered down by the past to save bandwitch.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to get the file size of either of these two gifs below 250kb?
I nuked the hell out of them, and came up with three slightly different versions but they all look pretty terrible.

The animated gif format is terrible about resolution quality. You'll have to keep it that way or to reduce quite a lot the duration of the original one. I don't see any other option for now
Edit: you can try to contact Captain Jupiter. He's good at animated gif. He might have a solution for you.
