I finally managed to get the Steam Workshop upload working - no idea why it wasn't before. I'll upload some more ingame images to the gallery later.

Benjin, this is such a great idea, really adds to the immersion. Well done and thanks for all the hard work you've put into this.
Good Job! Keep up the good work, you are making a mod that i couldn't even dream that something like this was possible before your mod. Good Job!
Amazing work.

Looks very nice, but why does he have a sword in hand as well as one in the sheath? Shouldn’t the scabbard be empty?
Thanks all
Good question - I originally just wanted the scabbard on his waist without a sword. However, after I tested the generals equipped with just the scabbard and no sword sheathed in it, it didn't look right whenever they didn't have a sword in their hands (e.g. holding spear, or the army banner on the campaign map etc - where is the sword for the scabbard?). So, I tried putting it lower to where the actual sheathed sword weapon was on his body (when they're not using a sword, it's placed around where the right leg is), but then determined that nobody would be able to see it properly since it was placed so far down the side of their bodies, therefore was a waste. It also caused a lot of clipping where their pteryges were, and didn't connect with the belt either.
So, I just put the whole scabbard + sword on the side of their bodies, so it would look like - whenever they're holding a spear / army banner - that they had sheathed their sword to hold something else, and if they were actually holding a sword, then the player could imagine that the scabbard + sword was either a ceremonial sword or a spare in case he loses the one already in his hand.
Well, it looks like the poll is overwhelmingly in favour of Carthage and Ptolemaic Egypt, with lots of other Greek factions coming afterwards (e.g. Macedon, Seleucids). Surprisingly Parthia rose above the likes of Sparta. So, I think the next ones I'll do will be roughly in this order (each varying in the amount of time required to make / set them up):
• AAA Punic Generals (Carthage, Nova Carthago, Libya) - not too long, I plan to do a few entirely new assets (e.g. Hannibal's Helmet).
• AAA Egyptian Generals (Ptolemaic Egypt, Cyrenaica) - not too long either, I plan to do a few entirely new assets as well (e.g. Pharaoh Nemes).
• AAA Greek + Spartan Generals (All generic Greeks, incl. Wrath of Sparta campaign variations) - this one will take a while, because I've got to do not one, not two, but four general uniform sets (Greek, Spartan, WoS Greek, WoS Spartan), each with their different age / rank / season variants.
• AAA Eastern Generals (All generic Easterns, incl. Wrath of Sparta campaign variations for Persia) - not too long; most of the assets they historically used are already in the game I think - I don't know which new ones I could potentially make for them.
• Other individual, major Greek factions (e.g. AAA Macedonian Generals, AAA Seleucid Generals, AAA Athenian Generals etc) - I won't do all of these at once, I'll just do them in between other ones (e.g. Gauls, Britons, Iberians etc). To give all other major Greek factions their own, individual uniforms will take a damn long time to do.
I would love to separate some of the assets used in Total War: ARENA to use for the Punics + Greeks, but unfortunately the PFM hasn't been able to open ARENA's files ever since it entered beta some months ago, so I can't get them.

Dangit! There seems to have been a crazy influx of Carthage fans! I was hoping for some Ptolemy love a bit sooner. Thanks for the update, Benjin. I'm sure we all will be keeping an eye out for your progress!
I got a bug in the shield texture
Oh please tell me how to get that unit cards u got on ur pictures for preview, like legionaries etc http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...1022_1_2Hu.jpg on this picture, i am looking now for so long and can't find it
Per the comments on the steam page, the shield texture bug is being looked at.
This really adds immersion. I never even thought about a mod like this can happen. CA needs to introduce this for all titles.
The update I've been working on has now been released - I will release a list of the things changed on the Steam Workshop item's discussions soon.
Changes of Note
• Fixed white shield texture bug - which occurred while using DeI. I swapped the shield that was reported causing the issue with a new one (it actually looks better than the other one).
• New Roman historical battle character appearances (e.g. Varus, Arminius, random Roman advisor (the guy who shouts "Varus! Accursed coward!"), Caesar, Scipio Africanus).
• Scipio Africanus now has politician uniforms.
Egyptian Generals
Work has already started on the AAA Egyptian generals mod - I'm going to be doing some new assets to use for them which haven't been made before. When I have something finished to show, I'll post a new thread for that mod (I want to keep the discussions separate - this is to do with a totally different faction / mod release).

I think I might need the help of an extra DB & Unit Editor - whenever I want to make a change to all of the generals at once, I need to go through roughly 3,000 VMD files or rename 6,000 DB entries. It's easy but long, tedious work and also takes away time which I could be spending on making new assets. It's the same thing for the future faction's generals as well, who need thousands of renamed DB entries.
Anyone interested in contributing? If so, send me a PM - it'd be a massive help and would get the future faction's general mods out faster.

Hi Benjin,
first to say I absolutely love your mod! For me, it's one of the best out there and I appreciate all effort you put into it.
I have only extremely limited moddings skills. So I need to ask: What exactly is the problem? Do you need to rename multiple files (like VariantMeshDefinitions) at once? Then TotalCommander should be good. It can also replace parts of the filename, e.g. the files filename1.txt and filename 2.txt can be renamed to file_name_1.txt and file_name_2.txt with only one click.
Or do you want to change specific lines WITHIN multiple files (like <VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/roman_gladius.rigid_model_v2" />) at once? I don't know if TotalCommander can do this but I'm pretty sure there is a tool out there to handle this task.
