i want to play the expansions but i want to set the brigands and pirates to off. i know how to do that in rtw but in alexander the values are not in that file. i havent tried for b.i. so i have that question as well

The file is named descr_strat.Find brigand_spawn_value 10 pirate_spawn_value 28 and give them higher numbers.For BI just go into bi/data/world/maps/barbarian_invasion and there will be the descr_strat file.

Do you know if there is a "Pack File Manager" for Rome Total War 1?
I'd like to change the color of the uniforms for Parthia and Germany to something less garish.
Please let me know.

There is no 'pack file manager'as such, to open park files you need vercingetorix's pak extractor, after that most files are in tga, dds, or .txt format, which are easily edited.
