Hello. What exactly do you intend to do, change the textures of existing units or create new units with your own textures created by you?
To create new units, this tutorial is quite good; the problem is that it's old and the images fell from the server.

If you only want to modify the textures of the vanilla units, you should create a .PACK file including the textures in its corresponding path: UNITMODELS\TEXTURES\
