    Default Hogwarts Greenhouses - Herbology

Welcome to Herbology, currently taught by Professor Petunia.

The Greenhouses are where Herbology lessons are taught, consisting of seven Greenhouses. Greenhouse One houses the youngest and safest of Hogwart's many plants, and used by first-years in their lessons. Greenhouse Two is a more intermediate classroom, mostly used for theory and textbook work, for years two to seven. Greenhouse Three houses some of the the actual fauna and plantlife, such as Mandrakes and Leaping Toadstools. It is utilised for practical study for years two to seven. Greenhouse Four, Five, Six and Seven are used for advanced Herbology students, the latter three for those who are taking it at N.E.W.T level. In addition, these Greenhouses hold the vast majority of the fauna kept in the school. Finally, there is the Professor's private office, where only the most dangerous and exotic plants, such as the famous Venomous Tentacula are kept, under the personal care of the Professor. In addition to Herbology, the Greenhouses are vital in supplying the school, in particular Potion classes, with vital horticultural ingredients.

Evie arrived in a relatively good mood with a slight smile on her lips. She was curious to see what they were going to learn..

The ability to quickly and correctly identify herbs and plants was crucial to potion making, which is probably why Atticus had an intense fascination with herbology. He brought his gloves and a spare tset of earmuffs (just in case) to the greenhouse for class. He had sewn a pocket into the inside of his robes to smuggle out spare ingredients, if the opportunity ever presented itself. He planked himself down in the greenhouse, a bit tired from lack of sleep the night before.

    Hello, Evie. Ready for Herbology?

Evie smiled her usual weak smile.
    "Always ready fro everything."
She grinned a little. She waved some albino dragon-skin gloves(mittens). People had made fun of all her notes and she understood why so she had jumped on the joke herself.
    "And you?"

Geoffrey came into this class. Herbology...his mother had told him about many plants and herbs of the Wizarding World, before she went insane. He hoped that his mother's lessons would be helpful in this class.

Atticus smiled at the small girl

Yes, I am. At least Professor Petunia is still here. We've lost quite a few professors otherwise.

Violeta and Ashley arrive, both prepared for class but neither looking forward to it as they dislike herbology.

Dom arrived at class and took a seat in the back by Demetri. He didn't know anything about herbology and wasn't even sure if it sounded interesting.

Evie nodded"Yeah, many dissapeared, to be honest though, She would be the last one I'd expect to leave. I mean, the greenhouses are here, Shes not moving far from that."
Evie smiled, grinned a little. It was one of her rare attemps at some mild humour not meant to be laughed at but.. Well it was a mood thing.

Nigel finds it hard to hide away in the greenhouses but does his best by finding the most shadowy character.

Plump Henry ran into the greehouses, feeling he was late for the class. He quickly noticed there was quite a large gathering of students, but luckily, it had not yet begun. He looked at the plants with fascination, wondering what each did, though made sure to keep a safe distance, minding the warning sign. He tried to look for another Hufflepuff to interact with, but only recognized a silver haired girl from a year above, but decided better not to talk to her, always shy around anyone from the opposite sex.

Evie now grinned wider almost a fullhearted smile. She was glad there for a moment. Now though more people streamed people she did not know. And her timid nature forced silence upon her. She tried to avoid making to awkward by smiling again quickly before folding up the hoodie and turning to the teacher.

Cecil arrives at the Greenhouses, whistling lightly and eying the plants with mild caution. Far be it for him to suggest that he hated nature, but Herbology had never been one of his best subjects and he knew it - the only thing he was worse at was Potions.

As the students entered Greenhouse Two, it became apparent Proffessor Petunia was nowhere to be seen. The class was left to talk among itself for several minutes, before the Professor suddenly appeared - she was in a heavy, woolly trench coat and large hiking boots. Without explaining her tardiness, nor her choice of clothing, he entered the Greenhouse.

'Ah children! Welcome to Herbology for the first years, and welcome back for the rest of you. Now, some of you may be thinking Herbology's just messing around with flowers and roses, but I can assure you, it's nothing of the sort. To prove that to you, today we shall be doing a little practical work. Now, collect up your things, and follow me. We're off to study Hogwarts' Walloping Willow!'

And with that abrupt note, Abigail headed through the Greenhouse door, beckoning the students to line up and follow her.

Evie took her backpack with her books and notes and walked after her head of house in a brisk pace. While she walked her dragonskin mittens was put back in the backpack, while down there Evie took up notes on this rare tree so that she was ready.

Henry followed his lovely teacher, listening to every word and looking closely at the way she moved her lips when she spoke.

Latest of all, Ralph somehow managed to slip in as the class began migrating from the greenhouses.
Henry followed his lovely teacher, listening to every word and looking closely at the way she moved her lips when she spoke.
He elbows Henry as he slips in next to him, whispering to him in jest "Smitten with the teacher are we?"
A playful grin stretches across his face.
