Sorry for asking but when did in Tsardoms timeline Croatia exist? After they unified with Hungary 1102.they did not have their state until 1941!

Going a bit off topic, but legally speaking, Croatia did exist during the entire timeline of Tsardoms. It was never formally annexed by Hungary, it was merely in a personal union under the Hungarian king. So basically two states under one king. De facto, it was a part of Hungary, but Croatian nobles still had a great deal of domestic power and some had pretty big degrees of autonomy.

Indeed, the Kingdom of Croatia was a separate entity and was in a personal union with the Kingdom of Hungary. This means that there were two states which had the same king, but they were still two separate states. At various times Poland and Hungary were also in a personal union but no one would argue that they were the same states. Anyway, as we mentioned it just so happened that in 1345 parts of Croatia were in open rebellion and the Hungarian king was about to invade those lands with his armies. On top of that Mladen Subic was making alliances with Venice and Bosnia against the Hungarians. There were Croatian nobles rebelling against the king and croatian nobles allied with the king. We chose to show Croatia as a separate entity which is at war with Hungary. Hungary is a blob faction, the biggest in the mod and it needed a bit more of a challenge otherwise it would steamroll across the whole map wiping out all small states around it. It might still do that anyway but it will have more of a challenge.

Anyway, this is off topic. the rest of the conversation should be about the republic of genoa.

Thank you. All the unit rosters for all the factions are done, they have actually been done for about a year. We have a new team member working on reskinning some units for the new croatian faction. But other than that no more work is needed for units generally.

There have been changes since then, but you can still have fun playing with those.
