Just checking. I just started playing yesterday actually. Didn't join the closed beta though I got the invitation.

Anyway, what the use of silver ? How do I spend silver?

I think silver is gained from winning, and is used to upgrade your units eg better shields or a new type of unit and gold is pay-to-progress and skip the grind.
I only played one or two games back when it was on Steam in 2015 or so, is it any good?

Well, to be honest the gane itself is pretty good. However, depending on your team members the battle can be fun or can be a headache.
