battle_models.modeldb unit rename problem

I'm having a technical problem.

I am trying to replace the urban spear militia model with one I've made.
Bodies are the same as the padded sergeants I'made and the shields are round, same models as in the peasant spearmen but "richer" textures that I have not used yet.

The thing is I am trying to rename the "Italian_Spear_Militia" in the battle_models.modeldb to "Urban_Spear_Militia" as I have textures for all factions the name "Italian" sort of bothers me.
The result is a CTD just after the splash screen.
The log reads: "error reading record from file mods/SS6.3/data/export_descr_unit.txt".

Any idea what I am doing wrong?
