Sorry guys if my question sounds retarded to you, but i still have to ask the modders here. Why can't we use the verchengetorix plugin to import/export MTII models?
I tried to import one of them, and it kinda worked :hmmm:

Because it doesn't work properly, the MIITw model files are in a completely different format, so its a bit messed up. We are waiting on Ca to provide a import/export plugin for 3ds max.Sorry guys if my question sounds retarded to you, but i still have to ask the modders here. Any specific date when they might release such plugin?
No, there are some legal issues surrounding it.

What sort of "legal issues"? CA owns the copyright to their software, and if they write the plugin whats the holdup?
it's probably has something to do with 3ds max software.:hmmm:
Im make same NEW missile weapon models like bolts for exemple (mod link in signature) Im use Vertengetorix imp/exp and hex editor for correct it. CA exporter not work for missile models... Anyway for .cas files may use Vertengetorix script and hex editor for correct file.
I m look today battle model its different files (.mesh) , so battle model not import Vertengetorix script...

would it be difficult for a programmer to make his own import export for 3ds max?

They have used 3rd part software in making .mesh files, something called granny or something. What sort of "legal issues"? CA owns the copyright to their software, and if they write the plugin whats the holdup?

Lusted, since you are in touch with CA, do you know if they will be releasing a new file or some sort of program to make editing the model.battle file easier? Right now it's so much of a monolith that I have fears for the mod crews and small time modders. Is there any chance they could release it in a setup like the RTW version, or is that impossible due to coding?
Well now that I read it, it sounds like it gets easier once you clean it up. Problem is - cleaning it up. Did someone release a cleaned battle.model file?
