Default RISE OF THE REPUBLIC v1.1 [Download & Installation]

    v. 1.1 Patch 1 RELEASED

Introduction The Imperial Splendour Team is glad to tell you that after years of work, Imperial Splendour: Rise Of the Republic v. 1.1 is finally available!

We added 4 new nations (USA, Prussia, Hannover, and Saxony) to play with and really hope you'll enjoy this new version!

Also thank you so much for your support and the patience waiting all those years, you are the best!

    Always at your service!

    The IS Team

Summary Imperial Splendour: Rise of the Republic (IS: RotR), is the late campaign of IS 2.2.1b that focuses on the French Revolutionary Wars at the end of the 18th century.

It is the year 1783; we begin the adventure just after the American Revolution which shows to the world that the order of a monarch can be disputed by his own subjects and that a colony can claim its independence in name of Liberty. However, in Europe, most of the regimes are absolute monarchies; the American events are really bad news for the stability of their reign. Such events inspired by the Enlightenment could spread and tilt monarchies in place for nearly a thousand years.

    Preinstallation Instructions

Rise of the Republic 1.1 comes with an installer so installing is easier as in the previous version.

You need to have 8 GB space on the hard drive where your installation of ETW is!

And if you have installed any other mods - even IS 2.2.1b or RotR 1.0 - you need to uninstall them first.

Rise of the Republic 1.1 is a stand-alone!

You need to install the Hotfix too, to able to play the campaign properly!

    Installation Instructions
    1. Download the new version

    2. Extract all the files and the folder from the RotR 1.1.zip file wherever you want (Imperial.Splendour_Install.exe, IS_FileList.txt and the folder IS_Files) excluding the "[...]\steamapps\common\Empire Total War" folder

    3. Check if the folder "IS_Files" and the files: "Imperial.Splendour_Install.exe" and "IS_FileList.txt" were extracted.

    4. Double click on the Imperial.Splendour_Install.exe file (perhaps you need to give the file admin allowance or let windows access it. If a firewall window pops up, click on further information and allow the file to be executed. No worries these are just the windows defender settings for unknown files.)

(4.1) If you have not installed JAVA Runtime the installer will ask you to install it.

    5. Follow the steps in the installer, most notably point the installer towards your "Empire Total War" folder. (NOT the "data" folder)

    6. At the end of the process, the installer creates an Imperial Splendour shortcut on your desktop and afterwards, if you want to launch RotR

    7. To activate RotR start the launcher (basic setting is vanilla ETW) and click on "Switch", then a RotR lettering will appear

    8. Then download Patch 1 and extract the RotR 1.1 Patch 1.zip file into your "[...]\steamapps\common\Empire Total War\data" folder. Overwrite the existing files!

For more detailed instructions click here.

Congrats you successfully installed IS: RotR 1.1!

If you have problems to install the mod, please post them here

    Launching the Game
Click on the Imperial Splendour shortcut on your desktop and give admin allowance if you're asked to.
When you first start the launcher you'll see the ETW lettering. This means vanilla ETW is activated.
Click on switch to activate Rise of the Republic. Then click on play and Rise of the Republic will start.

Once you've started a campaign, don't declare war or make peace in the first round, this will corrupt your campaign!

To cut a long story short, there was a bug in the startpos.esf file of the release which got the campaign to crash. With the help of Napoli23 , MAIAN and Switz I was able to find out which file was corrupted.

So there is a hotfix available for download in the OP. Please download it. Sadly as this is simply an older working file, the Prussian tech-tree is broken for but I'll take care of the issue.

You need to start a new campaign!

    This is out of date.

I'm really sorry for the problems you had while playing the campaign!

I hope you can enjoy playing the campaign in the future.

Some of you still had CtD's with the patch 1. It seemed to be a problem with the upload so I reuploaded a new .zip containing the Patch 1 and intense testing with the help of Gustav Mahler
