It's an excellent ideological choice. A poor business choice.
Business choice follows what is more likely to increase profits for lower risk.

It may be that the ideological puritans can create a lobby backlash which increases quantified risk in case you displease the lobby group.

It may be the case. But obeying the orders of threatening lobby power has more to do into giving in to cronyism pressure rather than following good business decision for profit.

Well you may say that not wanting to offend lobby who work by threat of action is smart, but it raises the sort of question, "is being submissive to market disrupting lobby a healthy thing for the growth of business?"

Needless increases of risk is bad for business and investors.

Acknowledging and bowing towards a group that wields power by artificially increasing investment risk everywhere they go, is that an optimal outcome? Emboldening such types, will give even more of the same in the future.

It will be seen that, as used, the word ‘Fascism’ is almost entirely meaningless. In conversation, of course, it is used even more wildly than in print. I have heard it applied to farmers, shopkeepers, Social Credit, corporal punishment, fox-hunting, bull-fighting, the 1922 Committee, the 1941 Committee, Kipling, Gandhi, Chiang Kai-Shek, homosexuality, Priestley's broadcasts, Youth Hostels, astrology, women, dogs and I do not know what else.

"a group that wields power by artificially increasing investment risk", like, bankers, stockbrokers, real estate buisnesses? could it be you are pissing up the wrong tree here?

i guess thats the only tree you know tho. since there really isnt any risk from conforming to the standards of a more diverse target group, the contrary in fact,.... oh well, we know reactionaries will accept economic disadvantages as long as their ideology is served.

There isn't, based on what we've seen, any significant risk in removing this form of entertainment: F1 clearly don't think it is essential to their business model. Businesses submitting to what you refer to as "market disrupting lobbies" is fairly standard behaviour in instances where doing so will not negatively affect their profit margins.

Heh... yeah, and again, pro-darts did the same thing a week before F1. PRO-DARTS. Is Fkizz saying there are really people watching the F1 because that's where they get their titilation? Come on...

Last time i was at GP Austria, i didnt even see Grid Girls.. so unless you have quite expensive ticket for main tribune, and some VIP pass, you wont see them at all.. So that decision doesn't make big difference actually. And giving chance for kids and young racers to be close to F1 drivers is definitely a good move. Other sports do this as well, and nobody complains about it. Besides, there are many nice girls present there.. just not necessarilly grid girls.

Let's keep in mind that this forum is also visited by minors and try to keep some modicum of civility in our posts.

Time for a clean up and review.
