So I downloaded Rome Total War again on steam. On launch I noticed the huge lag on campaign and battles of course. I solved it by downloading the d3d8 as I had done In the past. The lag in the campaign map and battle map were eliminated. But then the fps went low on big demanding battles. Moreover I can't set all the graphics to max, like the antialiasing for instance. So what's the problem? Rome total war is running on on integrated graphics card instead of using my 960m NVidia. The problem is that even though I have set the game through the NVidia control panel to use my dedicated GPU, even though I right click it and start it with NVidia GPU, the game still launches on integrated graphics. How can I solve this problem?
