    Hi all,

    Recently downloaded RTW Darthmod, and having a very nice experience so far.
    I am trying to make one change to balance Roman infantry units: remove their 'critical hit ability'.
    I don't like seeing my Hastati destroy Hoplites in a frontal attack :(
    (after having buffed Hoplite att/def and lowering Hastati att/def)

    However, while I know most files, I don't know how to do this.
    I've already removed the ( area, ap, bp ) attributes of their melee weapons.
    Anyone able to help out here?

    Any other suggestions from Darthmod players for balancing a Roman campaign are welcome :)

    You can increase the hoplites shield value (their frontal armor will be much greater, while back/side is not affected) and their defensive skill/attack.


    Don't forget as well that your hoplites are suffering from -4 attack or something along those lines whenever they're fighting against swords. In RTW swords are basically the rock to spears scissors.

    Spears do however have an advantage vs cavalry. I can't recall all the specifics but you have to account. I suggest taking a look at Aradans EDU guide
