Default How to Make Custom City Models

I originally posted this on the Rome: Total War forum, and just realized my mistake.
    Anyway...

I was wondering how to make custom city models, as I would like the cities to be as historically accurate as humanly possible.
Is there a way I can edit the city's model to add/remove/change buildings? (e.g. give all cities walls/palisade fences, farmland on the outskirts of a city, Herod's Temple in Jerusalem {why call it Jerusalem if it looks like Aelia Capitolina?} and Babylon having huge walls {though not 25 meters wide and 100 high} and a ruin in the center {tower of Babel})

Also, How to edit battlefields that have forests in them to make the forests slightly less dense?
