How to have french audio and english text ?

Hello,

I have Rome 2 on Steam Version and I would like to know if is it possible to have my game audio running in French and have text in english ? i'm french speaking but plays with DeI who don't have any french version. It would be more immersive for me to have french audio.

If you switch to French language in-game what happens?
a) Is there French audio; OR
b) Does all of the audio remain in English and the text changes to French?

Hello,
there are no options to change language in-game unfortunately :/

Go Steam Library - Right click on Rome 2 - Properties - Language and change the language there.

If you do get French audio, I can send you my English text files and you'll have French audio and English text.
If changing the language only gives you French text and it stays as English audio then I can't help you however.

Hi!

I'm french too, and I've do a mod for Rome II. During my work I've noticed that the french localisation, erase the english one. So you cannot put your game in french, and add english text to have french audio. Sorry.

I've managed to get it working, its really not hard. Here are instructions:

Step One
Go Steam Library - Right click on Rome 2 - Properties - Language and change your game language to French.

Step Two
Launch Rome 2, and enable all of the mods you want to use and then close Rome 2.

Step Three
Download this mod from Google Drive and move it to your Rome 2\data folder, for example D:\Steam D Drive\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data

Step Four
Launch the game, and your text SHOULD be in English whilst all the audio is in French. Some text might be missing however.
