Drama was going and, to an extent, is going still. He asked me for a cleared save earlier this morning, and he now has one. Tomorrow morning I'll sub him and move on, as I would agree that carrying on longer would simply be a bit too much.

Sunset Sea, Seagard Peninsula

The crash of waves on the jetty was a distant hum now that the reaving party had reached the edge of the nearby woodland. With each step another hulking mass of armor and axe disappeared from view, swallowed by shadows. Veron's steps became ginger as the ground beneath him passed from dirt and grass to dead leaves and roots; Dalton was just behind, traversing the dark with a seeming ease and mumbling gutteral things under his breath as the ironborn around him pretended not to notice.

Dalton's episodes had been intensifying for the past year. From time to time the ramblings approached coherency, and Veron had overheard talk of dragon's blood more than once. Knowing better than to ask his brother for information, Veron's mind wandered as he did his best to mirror Dalton's footsteps. Dragon's blood...did you know the war was coming? Is it even about the Targaryens? Are you after magic, older brother? A misstep interrupted him, and as he caught himself he realized the men ahead had come to a halt.

Dalton stirred to consciousness and gave a slight, twisted smile. "We're here."
Veron took a knee and reached for his flask. "I don't see a castle, brother."
"They aren't in a castle, brother," Dalton hissed back.

Veron pulled the flask from his lips, his eyes furrowing with interest as he got to his feet. Dalton began to laugh as Veron paced ahead, and before long a dim light started to emerge from the other side of the woods. Chanting and songs started to reach Veron's ears, and he realized the light was coming from a Tully camp beyond the tree line. Dalton caught up then, and slung an army around Veron. "Let's crash us a party, eh?"
Veron grimaced. "This is bait."
Dalton laughed and squeezed his arm around Veron. "They're bluffing."
"These are fishers and farmers, not fighters. Bait is what they know, so bait is what they will use. If we stay here, more of them will come."
Dalton spat. "Not enough."
Veron sighed and emptied his flask in to his gullet. "We'll see."
