"I have to set an example."

Replied Jaehaerys to his brother, firmly. The Lords would think the Crown had grown soft, or afraid.

"But nonetheless, he will be spared. I shall inform our uncle Bloodraven that he'll be expecting company at the Wall."

    "Oh"

    Said Daeron.

"But... what will happen know? This is just a large mess"

    He acknowledged.

"I guess the decision is yours, but all this is alarming. I've lived many years here, I didn't expect to return at the head of an army to see my warden deposed"

"Balance will have to be preserved. No doubt Tarly wishes for a large share of the power for his role in all this."

The Prince knew Tarly would have to be satisfied, but he wasn't content to make him the Lord of Highgarden in all but name. He turned to Daeron with a sympathetic look.

"I know. But the die was cast, lines were drawn. It isn't your fault this happened."

    "Well... I guess it wasn't?"

    Said Daeron, tilting his head.

"I don't know if it'll be wise to push Tarly up the ladder. I just..."

    "What is it? Come, speak."

Invited the Prince. The Great Hall of Highgarden loomed above them, the largest and stoutest of the towers and keeps that had been built here since the Age of Heroes. It was also the most beautiful: pristine white, decorated with banners of the golden rose.

"Oh there will be no need for that, my lord. His guilt is already proven, nay?"

The Hand looked about him at the Tarly men going about their work; some were loading wagons with gold, which he presumed was Tyrell's treasury. He gave a deep frown.

"I think I shall hold court here, in the King's name, until order is restored to the Reach. We shall not forget your service, Lord Tarly. But is time to decide how the Reach is governed."
Jaehaerys spurred his horse onwards into the castle alongside his companions, the soldiers of the Crown following in a long, snaking column. Those Reachlords present would follow after that, with the Prince Jaehaerys leading the nobles into Highgarden's main hall and throne room.
"It has so indeed my Prince, Lord Tyrell is confined to his chambers and under guard. I can escort you there. Holding court here would be a wise move sir." Tarly said as he bowed and let the prince pass.
