Prince Almos of Hungary split his army into pieces to better split objectives, or at least to confuse the enemy. While the enemy was in confusion, Almos bid his spy to infiltrate the settlement. Upon the designated time, Almos led his men forward with nothing but hope of success driving them. The sentries on the walls sounded the alarm. During the chaos, the defenders were so focused on Almos' army, that the gate opened without a single soldier noticing. Hah, thats's my man. "Charge!" With that, the Prince led kicked his spurrs, and raced towards the gates with a thousand men strong at his back.
The battle was brutal for the defenders, as many regiments were composed of town militia. Those of whom had no shields to block the many bolts fired from the many crossbowmen. Regiment after regiment fell to this deadly weapon, but the captain of the town realized his mistake, and quickly formed up the spearmen lines, making sure all shields were sturdy. This upgrade proved difficult for Almos, as he was shorthanded on his own spearmen. To counter act this, he ordered his spears to hold the front lines, whilst the crossbowmen climbed onto any house or hovel they could for a better vantage point. He lost many spearmen, but by the last light of day, the defenders had had enough. They threw up the white flag, and surrendered. They say King Kalman will be the new shield of Christendom... Hah, everyone knows the true shield is Prince Almos of Hungary. Following the captain's surrender, the city was briefly pillaged for valuables for the men, but Almos restricted them from destroying the place entirely. They still needed it as a base of operations in the enemy's home front.

France enjoyed its first season of profit , which went towards lessening the debt , it had collected with its wars, with England, but the growth was still slight, with any improvements having to be ploughed into next seasons growth and so on, until there debt was paid. Diplomacy from England and from the HRE pronounced they had come to a agreement for now, and England had promised troops to be sent to the holy land at some stage, but no clear leader had been picked for this most important of tasks.

There was however a important royal personage of note , with the most beautiful daughter of Louis of France, as the demure Cecilei , decided to travel to the north seeking a new husband of royal blood. All who gazed upon her fairest of faces pronounced that they have never seen such beauty , as the flower of france, prepared her carriage escorted with noble knights .

King Baldwin observed the Turkish assault of Acre with grim foreboding knowing there was little that could be done. The army of Jerusalem was indeed formidable , but the Turkish would have to position themselves badly or take a risk , to move into the open , before the army would be unleashed , and the turks wise to the ways of warfare, having been practicing it , for the last hundred years, were not fools. With the attack at Acre, there was now a clear division between Jerusalem and Antioch, and the Byzantine empire was likewise under assault ,and all in Jerusalem looked to the Kings of Europe , to follow the crusade, for their salvation.

Some of those in the west, had asked for a visual situation of the battlefield , and Baldwin had draw maps out which had been sailed to france, to deliver them to all that asked for them.

The war has ended but still the German armies march, some to hunt down the remaining rebels and some to set sail to the holy lands to join fellow Christians against the foul Turks.
Lost cities has been returned to the Empire and their gold will be put to good use in the crusade.

With a bunch of ships and quick decision making, we managed to break the blockade and disembarked the elite cavalry forces to shores of Constantinople. Our army met the mercenaries hired beforehand and assaulted the gates with the help of our spies. Poor, -who have never seen a war- militia forces couldn't stand much againts our veteran army and military genius commander. Constantinople has been conquered once and for all! This is a great victory for all Muslims and Islam world. And a great morale boost againts the crusades. We have no fear. Let them come and get slaughtered.

Our new pope, Dongerlord has some issues with TWC at the moment. So he asked me to post his turn and RP so here it is:

    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...cotland_18.sav

    To all of Christianity

As of late, Pope Paschal the harsh returned of his seclusion. For many days, what for some lasted an eternity, the Pope has spent his time sending prayers to our lord and god in the name of all Christians and the Christian church until God himself answered to the Pope's search for holy guidance in a vision as it was once written in the Bible:

Ezekiel 1:1: Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Pope Paschal, swiftly for his age, hurried to Bibliotheca Apostolica Vaticana, the library of the Holy See, to study the history of the church, read up on ancient scriptures and reflect on the erroneous actions that have been taken by the pope himself. Thus, the church issued the following decree to its Christian fellowship to every corner of Europe:

    - The Holy See condemns the militarily actions taken by the Hungarian King against the Byzantine Emperor and commands King Kalman to immediately cease any further attacks

    - The Holy See condemns the previous military actions taken by its ally, the Sicilian King, against the Republic of Genoa. The decision to attack a Catholic Nation during a crusade was influenced by several of the seven deadly sins, possibly even an act of Satan himself. The church apologises on everyone's behalf to the victims. May God forgive them too like the Bible says:

    Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

    Psalm 37:24
Though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

    - The Holy See Seeks the support of all Christian Kings. All Kingdoms are obliged to help the war effort in the name of God! Furthermore, a reformed church tax should not only support that cause but likewise help further development on the St. Peter's Basilica and the City of God. Therefore, 3% of the total income of each individual kingdom shall be paid monthly to the church starting the following month.

And lastly, as part of the vision seen by Pope Paschal the harsh, fulfilling the prophecy, he and his most trusted military general Falcone the Executioner shall, with gods protections, fly across the Mediterranean Sea to the holy land and see to the crusading goal being achieved and fight against the infidels. The Holy Bible may preach Peace, but when it its Christendom itself that is threaten, then it is every Christian’s duty to defend all that is Holy. Its time to reclaim the Holy Lands from the infidels, who would deny Christian pilgrims their right to visit the Holy places. It is time for the armies of Christendom to put aside their differences and unite under one banner, the sign of the Cross, and give back Gods children what rightfully theirs, or die trying.
    God Wills it!

The Danish King condemns the hypocritical denunciation of Hungary for assailing non-Catholic dissenters and the clearly tremulous and biased war in Italy that would be dubious moral ground to cast light judgement upon, but not the unprovoked Polish aggression on Catholic blood alongside false Christians that has brought multiple Scandinavian cities to ruin.

The Pope would then tax a state put on its economic edge by this senseless war. The pope is content to overlook blatant heresy, and then take blood soaked florins. The lack of care shown by the Church will not be forgotten.

For the utter unwillingness to lend an eye the past few years, the Danish King refuses to send a florin, and encourages the Pope to open his eyes to native atrocities before pursuing foreign wars.

The Pope is disheartened to witness such a response.

Pope Paschal condems any military actions taken against christians!

The danish King putting his quarrels forward above all of christianity AND GOD! Only a truly godless kingdom would refuse to fund priests, church and cause in such challanging times.

Yet, God and his children are merciful and apologise to the outraged king if he choses to do so as well.

It was a dark rainy day in London, most of the troops were holed up in the local bars, churches, and barracks that the English had allowed the Crusading troops of the Scots to quarter in. Commander David Dunkeld's messenger brought him a letter from the King of Poland, it was addressed to King Etgar and stamped to be forwarded to David.

It was a disheartening one to say the least. The blindness of their traitorous ways struck a nerve in King Etgar, and it must be why he forwarded these to David.

"David you have been my most trusted leader in all my years, i ask your advice on this, but we must we do something to prevent the fall of Christianity...." the letter closed with, and David had a blank look on his face, in deep thought, contemplating the coming moves and the politics of the current situation.

David carefully thought over the situation all night and in the morning they were to disembark on the Crusade, he sent a letter to the Pope, requesting the formal excommunication of Poland and Hungary, as they were traitors to Christianity. Hungary supports the Poles in the their decimation of the Danish, while also attacking the Byzantines. These acts were lightly condemned by the Pope who has dissappointed yet again. The Scots believe this is the next step of their discipline and they should face justice. We feel guilt in the subsidization of protection for traitorous states, even if it is in the name of GOD. He preemptively signed the document and sent it back to King Etgar for his approval of David's advisement.

To show our faith we have still disembarked our crusading armies in defense of the Holy Land, and a church was built in Dublin, along with sending our best bishop to the Papal States for support.

We hope our requests are taken seriously as the extortion of a suffering people is not very Christian-like, and if they are not excommunicated we will be pulling financial support to the Papacy.

A letter was also sent to the Poles warning them of their actions, and expressing the discontent of the Scottish people. Ending with "
dol a-mach nam mucan brònach fhèin"

Genoa refuses to pay any tribute to Pope State. People of Genoa didn't forget how Pope State supported godless invasion and plunder made on Genoa city by King Roger of Sicily. Our trust towards Pope State is very limited after its recent actions. Genoa's consul hope for far better relations with newly elected Pope than that he with previous one and is open to reconsidering finansing Pope when he will prove he is not like previous one.

In the meantime rumors on the European streets speaks that Principality Of Antioch is allying and supporting infidel Sejucks even through they are in full offensive against christians in holly city of Jerusalem as well as at the gates of europe.

Crusades, a wedding, and now the new basilica in Rome... King Kalman rested his head in both hands. The solace of his private study no longer gave him the privacy it once provided.
Word came that the Sicilians were allying with the infidel hordes of the east, whilst going unchecked by the papacy. Kalman would never be bold enough to challenge his holiness in such a matter though.
The crusade would surely root out the Turkish hordes, and eventually see the Sicilians back into god's fold.

It had been months since his last letter from the Pope. This new one request had been to cease all hostilities with the Byzantine Empire. The country now dwarfed by the current war could no longer call itself an empire.
All that remained of the Catholicless nation were Corinth, and Iraklion. The king was puzzled by the Pope's interference, but would concede to his wishes. Kalman felt guilty however. The previous day he'd received word that another fort
belonging to the Byzantines had been taken by Azzony Oimeracz and his personal retinue single handedly.

King Kalman wrote a letter to apologize to his holiness, and promise to protect Christendom from the invading Turkish armies. Furthermore, the king would donate 1000 florins to aid in the basilica's construction.
