Player faction only

I know buried in here this answer exists but I for the life of me cannot find it.. How do you or what do you look for to make a mod work only for the player and not all factions? Thanks for the time and the help..

It depends on what you want to change. The easiest way to have an effect that only changes for the player is to use the campaign_difficulty_handicaps table and assign it only to the player or only to the AI entries.
