Re: Storm's End, Seat of House Baratheon
Baratheon mused for the moment. On the one hand it was something he couldn't really agree on, especially the enforcing of a council position seemed in his eyes as the wrong decision.
Since his last visit he had the impression that most of the problems resulted from the King himself than the Council. He trusted Tarly, as much as he trusted Jaehaerys Targaryen as well - both men knew probably that the situation weren't optimal, but they tried to make the best out of the situation.
And yet... the reforms had to go, as he wasn't fond of them. No matter the family, they had to go.
"I'm willing to trust you, Lord Tully, but I don't insist on a council position", Ormund replied after a while, "We shall speak with the Lord Hand about this matter, as I had already on my last visit at the capital the feeling that he might be willing to convince his brother of compromises. Yet we should remember our places and not demand too much. Remember that this was the main reason why the meeting at Riverrun failed. The reforms have to go, no doubt... but as well we should trust the Council and thus the Lord Hand. He holds the most influence over his brother and deem him as more reasonable. If we approach him, it shouldn't be a threat or an ultimatum - we need the removal of these reforms in order to bring back stability to the realm and House Targaryen,
not necessarily to undermine it by our demands."

Re: Storm's End, Seat of House Baratheon
"I will not force upon you a Council seat, Lord Baratheon, but ultimately there must be one of our faction present to prevent the recurrence of such excesses. But you are right, the current regime must be upheld."
As if...
"If we are agreed, then I shall depart to my next and most important visit - it wouldn't do to keep the Lady Tyrell waiting, whether she knows of my visit or not."
Tully smiled calmly as he rose to leave, things seemed to finally be turning his way.
