    Default [requested Submod] Matched Combat be gone

    Hello everyone,

    I discovered that the game works so much better without the matched combat animations.
    Fighing in MT2:TW style. The overall performance (frames) in battles goes up to approx 20 %.
    Can put everything on ultra now and the battles are much more realistic.

    I really recommend everyone to start Rome 2 again and test it without matched combat. I love it.
    Same goes for attila.
    Maybe thats why Warhammer TW has almost no matched combat.

    Can please someone make a submod that deactivates the matched combat for DeL ?

    I already lowered it a lot for new patches. I agree, it ruins combat. I can upload you a version without it later.

    Is it already lowered in DEI 1.2? I always found it amusing/frustrating that a 25-men heavily decimated unit can hold back a 200-strong cohort

    Just copy the file into the data folder and enable it in the launcher, it will autoload before DeI. The setup of this file in theory makes it compatible with all previous and future patches to DeI but should also work pretty much for all Rome 2 mods, maybe even for Attila.

    To around 35%. Also 25 men holding off? I hardly believe that number since morale would not allow them to stand unless they are some super crazy max chevron unit with tons of other bonuses.

    They break pretty quickly at that point but it's still strange that a full strength unit wouldn't just break through right past them immediately XD

    Thank you for your effort!
    But it seems that there are no finishers at all in the battles now. And there is still this one animation were the enemy gets shoved and he flies 4meters and lays on the ground for some seconds.

    I've used the matched combat be gone mod from steam workshop and there are still the killanimations and no shoving. Can you make this happen?
    I hope I dont ask for to much. Thank you!

    BTW I'm from germany and I love whats going on in Poland. My deepest respect for your honorary people who stayed their ground against the EUSSR. * Sorry for offtopic

    I am not aware of how to do this. Shoving people on the grand is intended as it is rather realistic and I worked for a long time to get that effect.

    As for Poland related stuff, except that one matter, current government is horrible, I just makes me sad how bad people with power can be.

    Uh okay didnt knew that. We've got about 5 million migrants by now... in 20 years germany will be gone. Its sad.

    In previous titles and especially in Med 2 the combat wasn't matched, so the animations were lighter and the battle ''dance'' between soldiers more fluid.
    The overall Warscape's coding isn't something to admire, that's why the almost removed matched combat animations in Warhammer 1-2.

    Does this submod retain the kill animations? I would love to just remove the dueling and keep the brutal kill strikes. Also I've read that patch 18 messed with the animations in general making the variations vastly reduced, is this true? I've only played a few battles recently and did notice that there were far fewer kill animations.

    We have our own animations so there are still decapitations etc. Although I think with this submod, all kill animations are gone. We will be looking into some solutions soon but we are a bit burned by last few weeks of modding so probably we will resume full on modding after Christmas.
