I'm rebuilding a recently lost mod folder from scratch, starting with Gigantus's bare bones (kingdoms) mod folder. I'm attempting to add the Regions and Provinces BigMap 1.2 (made for vanilla M2TW) along with the graphical improvements of MapMod 1.7 or other textures from a couple of the more popular M2 mods on TWC. The issue I'm running into is that, while I can get the new R&P BM campaign map to work without any issues, adding the new campaign map graphics from MapMod 1.7 or any other improved textures (namely the aerial_map_ground_types.txt, descr_climates.text, and the terrain folder) screws up the climates on my battle maps. I tried keeping the vanilla climate map in the imperial campaign folder and keeping the vanilla aerial_map_ground_types and descr_climates, but that didn't resolve the issue. Honestly, I really don't know much about mapping and how most of the map files interact with each other. Any suggestions on merging the two mods without any issues?
I'm not downloading a bigger mod that already has this stuff taken care of because I'm trying to create a nearly vanilla version of M2+K with new units from many different mods, ReallyBadAI, RealCombat 1.3 (for vanilla) if I can get my hands on the files again, and a new campaign map. No new factions, traits, etc etc.
