    Default Fog of war removal

    Has anyone already planned a for of war removal for warhammer 2 ?

    I dont imagine this is a good idea for those on anything but super hi end PCs.

    Cause fog of wars main attribute is to lower the power required to scan the map.

    And as most people wouldnt take much of the map in a regular playthrough people often dont see the full hit on resources.

    removing it map wide would then give u full resource hit..and might give you very bad FPS results...

    Removing the fog of war as in being able to see everywhere at once and see what every faction is doing? As horizon011 said, in practice its absolutely terrible and tanks your FPS really badly.
    It's an incredibly easy mod to make though, simply increase the line of sight of an agent to huge levels.

    Who Cares I wanna the map in all its glory, it must be a true Art Opera

    Then if it gets impossible to play with the land uncovered I shall let it cover the whole world

    But i am not able to mod so that's why i'm asking

    I don't have Warhammer 2 so I can't make the mod for you, but its very simple.

    Step 1 - Download Pack File Manager. Read the second and third lines, it seems Warhammer 2 has some different version of PFM because the main guy has stopped supporting it.
    Step 2 - Go to Warhammer 2's data folder. This is the directory for Warhammer ONE C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER\data
    Step 3 - Open PFM, make sure its set to Warhammer 2 by looking at the Game tab. Then click File - New.
    Step 4 - Right click on the white area under where it says Untitled.pack and click Add - From Pack
    Step 5 - Open data.pack or whatever its called in Warhammer 2, expand the folder called db and search for the folder inside that called agents_table. Right click on that, and it'll be added to your mod. Now click Ok.
    Step 6 - Open that agents_table in your mod, and change the line of sight for every agent to something huge like 999999
    Step 7 - Save the mod, launch Warhammer 2, tick "out of date mods" on, launch a campaign and either move an agent or recruit a new one.

    Now you can see the entire map, tank your FPS and you've learnt how to mod!

    One turn with fog of war on: 17 seconds

    One turn without fog of war and map totally uncovered: 23 seconds

    Someone's got it working via a script, and apparently it only enables during your turn so there's no lag?

    For of war always removed and line of sight always possible. No problem at all !

    The turn takes only 6 or 7 more seconds to complete itself

    I had the same mod for warhammer 1 but in that case the gap of time is much more.

    Warhammer 1 - fog of war off: 45 sec x turn

    Warhammer 1 - fog of war on: 17 sec x turn
