Thread: Tweet on the Ancient Empires Twitter...

Default Tweet on the Ancient Empires Twitter...

Decided to check up on the mod, and noticed on the Ancient Empires twitter you guys posted this on September 4th, 2017 https://twitter.com/Ancient_Empires/...06829548593152

Does this mean that a campaign release is coming soon? If so, I wish you could say how soon.
It will be nice to see the release a September because in UMCenturions Trailer from a year ago, it said it was going to be coming out in September of that year (2016). Surely would show how far the mod has came.

Also while I have your attention, will Ancient Empires be looking into having an AoR (Area of Recruitment) system like in Divide Et Impera for Rome II?

    Thanks in advance.

AoR recruitment is in. As for a release, we really have no idea, it's a lot of work for a small team with little time.

Good to hear, hopefully you guys can release it soon. What exactly is holding you guys back from releasing?

Well, there's still a lot of DB stuff to do as well. Only Rome is fully complete atm, but once Rome is sorted the rest will fall into place pretty quick

So, we shouldn't expect it anytime soon, I would imagine.

Keeping up guys. I have never played Atilla but still have it in my library until the mod releases

Yeah I also can not wait for this and the LOTR Mod. I realy hope CA does not add any new dlc to Attila like the royal up with the new ED Rome 2 dlc... They destroyed not only the game with older mods, also they bugged the dev kit variant editor... It does not show the shield patterns anymore...

I think the best thing the CA people could do would be to give out a tool for editing the Atilla map. It would be much to their benefit, as it would renew interest in an older title.

I tend to agree, but it's mods such as AE that make it that much more sexy. And it's not just the eyecandy of units, it's the whole concept of changing gameplay elements, such as adding the AoR, elite unit limit, city population, natural resources, as added prerequisites for unit recruitment, etc. It's that type of elements that make it THAT much sexier.
