Thread: 3D helmet model not showing properly in the game

Default 3D helmet model not showing properly in the game

I'm having trouble with one of the helmet models - there are two variants of it (italian_attic_2 and italian_attic_3), but only italian_attic_3 works in-game. The other shows up in the Variant Editor:

But in game it shows as a different model, called italian_attic_3:

I've tried adding the italian_attic_2 model file to my mod, but that doesn't solve this problem. What could be causing this? The other model used to work, but it doesn't anymore.

Strange - do you have any other mods enabled which may be overwriting italian_attic_2 using italian_attic_3's variantmodel?

Ah, in DEI I deliberatly replaced the lower quality attic model 2 with that model 3 version. So that is probably the reason why...

(I have a newer attic helmet that could be used in DEI update too) dont use attic model 2, it is ugly and must be destroyed...

Totally agree - I absolutely hate italian_attic_2! Whoever worked on it may have done a pretty good high-res of it at some point for the bake, but the version that ended up in the final product is - unfortunately - damn ugly. I think it's mostly to do with those cheek guards.
