    People,

    I open this new section in BC Mod Page to gather together all potential submods, minimods and unofficial works done by the community (and by me).




    To start, I'll upload my latest "Enhanced Submod" did for BC 7 + bugfixer last year. It is nearly to completion, but it requires new ENG translation of the additional content, and further repolishing of the new features.

    To anyone interested, you can take it as a base, re-use it fully or partially and do the last editing/repolishing to make it complete.

    Ah, moreover, searching through my past works for BC... I also forgot to mention that I did a new MusicPack, compatible with BC 7.0 + bugfixer (it does not require the Enhanced Submod) (--> although as I said, I MUST return on that additional content sooner or later, as it adds several new contents to the game). I hope time will allow me to come back soon...

    And the descr_sounds_music needs to go to the "data" folder of BC, once installed (overwriting the previous one).


    It's quite big, and contains many new songs divided according to the different cultures, I did selection for the North Europa, the factions of the East, the Mediterraneean, the Islamic countries, the Crusaders and so on (many songs taken from Medieval movies and or documentaries, and other music "more epic" oriented)
    It was used on my CD version of MII.

    Of course, it is compatible with the new ENG texts provided in the download page.

    INSTALLATION:
    - download the package in .7z format;
    - open and extract the content contained in data/sounds in your main Bellum Crucis data folder (for example, my path: C:\Programs Files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War\mods\BellumCrucis7/data/sounds); you'll find a folder named "music", hence the new songs must go inside that folder;
    - go to the Sounds folder (path: data\sounds) and delete the files events.dat and events.idx; and music.dat and music.idx (of course, a back up is a common habit). These files will be regenerated by the engine;
    - use the descr_sounds_music included in the dropbox download, overwriting the old one (backup it for security). It goes in the "data" folder of BC;
    - finally, start the game!

    As said, everyone is free to re-use these additional assets entirely or partially on BC...

    My only concern is that the Enhanced is not fully stable atm, a revision of the new scripts and traits is needed (apart the eng translation)... In the meantime, if someone creates a new version on top of this submod, just share with the community on this unofficial submods thread.

    Hi ! I installed your music pack following your instructions. However once installed there is no music on the battle map and no music in the campaign map. I have the other sounds on both maps, but the only music I get are at the launch of a battle and end of it ...

    but it's weird?!?
    How big are the new .dat and .idx (music and events) generated by the game? It should be quite large due to the music, given the new content... did you put the new music into the "music" folder of BC? all tracks must go there, once done, deleting the aforementioned files to be restored, and using the .txt file (attachments) to let the engine read the new music...

    EDIT:
    To be precise, the new generated "music.dat" has to be close to 800.000KB (around 796.000KB), the new "events.dat" more than 7000KB (around 7100KB)... And, the first song that you hear in the main menu must be "Pacem Domine", it's a Gregorian Chorus for the Crusaders (just re-controlled right now on my PC).

    In any case, if you have problems try to use as well the older descr_sounds_music provided in the Dropbox download (instead of the one in the attachments)...

    Right now I'm uploading some youtube videos to showcase the new map look got via the strat_map textures and models concessed by Againster...


    My friend, you are an amazing mapper, the BC map is totally overhauled with your files! You did a very neat mapping work, wonderful!
    Hence, I'll release the new map content as external submod for BC... I'll refresh this thread with the new content soon.

    I reinstall BC7.0,then BUGFIXER 01-01-2015,then your Enhanced Submod and Enhanced Submod - Quick Patch,then Music pack and descr_sounds_music.txt,the last ENG text,step and step,but once launch game crashed.Why?

    The Enhanced needs the ENG translation for the new content.

    As I said, for now you may want to extract part of its content and use it for the ENG version (the .txt files not dealing with the added texts and scripts will always work, whether for the ITA or the ENG)... Whereas, the Music Pack and the new map files can be fully used with the ENG version of Bellum Crucis...

    For the sounds pack, if the attachments does not work, re-use the one provided in the download link (it works too)... actually, ok I remove the attachments as it is based on the ITA version, while the dropbox version contains the general one.
    Hence, the correct procedure:
    - BC 7.0
    - Bugfixer
    - ENG texts provided by wino
    - Enhanced (to take only part of it, the content not inherent to scripts/traits, and avoid files adding new texts as they are in ITA) --> use Notepad++ plus "Compare" plugin to transfer the content easily
    - Music Pack (following the procedure)
    - New map files (following the procedure)

    And before starting, delete the map.rwm in world/maps/base

    To confront the files which you want to extract from the Enhanced, I advice using Notepad++ and the plugin to download named "Compare", so that you can use the new settings of the Enhanced on top of the ENG version.

    Eh,can you upload the Enhanced submod ENG text which is not cause game crashed?

    Hehe, I'd like to make the last ITA-ENG conversions as soon as possible, but now I'm completely off due to time and other modding activities.

    Sigur and Huo, the Enhanced needs a last repolishing with the scripts and eng texts, all the rest can already be taken and added to the ENG version of BC. To anyone who already wants to do the merge, use Notepad++ with Compare plugin, so that you can extract the contents of the Enhanced to the main mod itself.

    The other submods intstead, new map files and music pack, can already be fully integrated with BC 7.0 eng + bugfixer (100% compatible).

    Hi, at turn 12 with your submod installed I am recruiting and building like crazy and still I am swimming in gold (60000 and rising). Is this normal? I play as castilla at "difficile" difficulty.

    Yep, the enhanced is tailored to increased income for you, and most of all for the AI factions (the more money it makes, the more efficient it is in its actions).

    Btw you're still a little faction, as soon as you expand; the city money limitation script will subtract you introits every turn.

    All in all, yes, you have more chances to earn and recruiting, constructing are slowered...

    And, to have the highest challenge, play with the highest difficulty in-game.

    Ok, I am not used to be rich from the start and recruit and build everything I want. It is a little boring to be honest. But the battle balance seems good, and the new buildings interesting.

    Yes, it's kinda reverted to the usual... more money to earn but more things to build and armies to keep here and there, as the AI will throw everything at you...

    Thanks for your answer. I checked, the event. file is indeed around 6.90MB. While the music.dat is 4KB only. Hence the problem... Good to find the reason, anyone has any idea how to solve this issue ? I installed the songs manually also, they are in the folder. However still the same problem

    So I installed the 7.0 + the Enhancement mod + Quick bug fixer + the Eng translation + Bug fixer; it crashed to desktop so I uninstalled it and reinstalled with just the Eng + Bug fixer and it works fine. Is the Enhancement mod already in 7.0 or the Eng translation mod? I'm afraid I'm a little confused on this point.
