Submission 1
The Last Pagan Emperor
The year is 371 AD and after many years of bitter and ruinous civil war, the remnants of Constantius II's eastern dominions finally surrendered to Rome allowing Flavius Claudius Julianus to assume the mantle as the sole Emperor of Rome. Yet there is no time to enjoy the spoils and privileges afforded to the master of Rome and the world. While he has so far successfully and skillfully negotiated the potential for treachery in the west at the hands of his Caesar Corialanus Phocas, other old and bitter rivals, once dormant have regained their former strength. The borders of Empire are subject to the attacks of forces long thought defeated, at a time when the defenses are worn thin and about to crack. Only wise and veteran men stand before them pouring forth in a new great invasion. Romes greatest and most terrible enemy, one who has been its equal and has humbled her in the past, however has threatened war, demanding her complete subservience to its might, forcing the Emperor to head east with a great invasion force, unsure as to whether the threat is real or the bellicose blusterings of a King in desperate straits. Though with his most trusted friend Avidius at hand, new faces are at the forefront of this war, ones yet untested by battle and the snake pit that is Roman politics, as the Emperor realizes that another man close to his heart is not what he seems...
Submission 2
Republican Ambitions
"The Republic of Novgorod is beset by threats on all sides. The Mongols are marching across Asia, the Kievan Rus looks to reclaim their hegemony over Russia, and the Latin Christians seek to finish off the Orthodox faith. But ambitions are abound and the Republic will face all of their threats head on."
Submission 3
Historia Rhomaike
Intrigue, plots, marriages, coins, faith and sword. And war.
This is what Rome has always been. This is what Rome will always be.
This is what Roman History is made of.
Best of luck to everyone!
