    Icon4 EB v1.31c Rreleased!

    Greetings Europa Barbarorum fans.

    You are free to send me anything via email (option in my profile) or via private message if you want (requests, questions, reports, feedback etc you don't want to share here)


    Today, we have a very special announcement for you. The release of a patch for our mod, Europa Barbarorum, for (now) the Rome Total War engine: EB 1.3!

    This is stand alone so you need to remove everything and after that install this. For now compatible with nothing.

    UPDATED INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
    My example is with Alexander Total War in Steam

    Installation of EB 1.31c

    I am going to re install EB 1.31c from the start.
    First of all my Alexander Total War is installed here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Alexander

    Install the EB 1.3 like you can see in the photos from the old instructions but you need to make 2 changes.
    First you will change the destination location to the one you have Alexander Total War. Mine for example is the one i posted up here.
    Second after the installation is completed don't run EB. You need to change the destination from the shortcut too.
    Mine is this:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 4770 -show_err -mod:eb -noalexander

    Last before you run EB extract EB 1.31c into your Rome Total War Alexander Folder.
    For me it worked.

    So, do I understand correctly that this is neither for Alex nor BI.exe but only for Rome 1.5?
    Second, just to clarify: I do the usual install of EB and then put the mod into the Rome folder? Or do I have to install into the EB folder?

    This looks great!

    But what exactly does it add/fix?

    I've made my own small mods for EB; primarily unique lesser Roman General skin/First Cohort Eagle standard/First Cohort callout

    Thanks. I reinstalled the mod, but it is still the same result; a KTM (Kick to Menu) problem that forces me back to the menu screen, not allowing me to proceed into Imperial Campaign or, in the case of Custom Battle, I am only able to get as far as selecting a faction's units, before being kicked back to the faction selection screen.

    Thank you for your advice. To answer your questions, both are correct. I have that error, but I put the mod into the right folder.
    I had the same error Good, but doing as this guy said on the org fixed it for me.

    "If you try to start the EB campaign you will probably encounter the above campaign error. To fix this, go in EB / data / world / maps / campaign, and copy the 'imperial campaign' folder- paste in the same directory- rename as 'Barbarian Invasion'. Then, go into EB/ data / text, and find 'imperial_campaign_regions_and#_settlement_names.txt'. C/P the same directory - rename as 'barbarian_invasion_regions_an#d_settlement_names.txt'." - YD23 post #122

    Hey guys, a question if I may, although a dumb one it may be... In this new 1.3 release, are a few bugfixes/sub-mods installed, such ones as the Eastern Hellenic Portraits already installed? If not, can the Eastern Hellenic Portraits be safely installed in this new version? Thanks in advance!


    PS - It still appears as version 1.2 in the splash screen!

    Hi Guys,

    I keep getting CTDs when starting a battle. It happens during the generals speech as the camera pans to the general, and immediately if I click 'start deployment'. CTD occurs during both Campaign and Custom Battles. Campaign progresses fine if I auto-resolve. I've installed multiple times with the same result. Shall I re-download?

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Any ideas guys?

    I've re-installed the based game from steam and re-downloaded 1.3, but still the same problem. I get a message from the installer that it can't find my steam directory. My game is installed outside of program files, i.e. the typical steam location. Would this be an issue?

    This is awesome news. I can't wait to see the changelog, and if you need help testing do not hesitate to ask. I have been thoroughly enjoying 1.2 plus sub mods and ofcourse my own alterations for years.

    What do you mean, there are siege engines in custom battles test them.

    No! I mean if you ever put in a future release 3d models of huge lithivolos machines just like rs3 has!In EB we have the ballista models from vanilla Rome tw!an example:the talantaioi lithoboloi it was supposed to be a huge machine instead we have a little ballista from vanilla Rome!
