Hi im having problems getting this to run smoothly, in battles it works fine, very little impact on performance even with highest unit detail setting, but on the campaign map and loading screens the game is unplayable, like 3 frames per second unplayable. If anyone knows how to fix this, would be much appreciated.

It also depends of the parameters you set with the software, together with the graphics settings of the game (and then the PC that runs it)...

The optimal config requires some various editings until you find the good combination... for the map, mhm, maybe try lowering shadows, bloom effects or Antialising... can help.

I really want to use this Reshade but every time I try to install it something goes wrong and loading into the game and moving from one menu to the next, etc is ridiculously super-slow.

The newer versions of reshade just seem to outright crash .

the config varies from machine to machine...

I suggest you make several trials first, and as well lowering the in-game graphics helps (shadows are usually among the hardest in FPS, for ex.)...

    It's the dx .dll

Even without any settings it freaks out.

I use the retail CD version.

mhm, try asking HaHawk too, he could provide other insights..

the settings require trials though, I had fps drops many times..

It's not the settings because I removed all the settings. The framework itself is not working.

    Also this is HaHawk's thread...

Is there any tutorial for the new version?
Just asking to see if there is some improvments compared to old version.

If someone could help me I would be so happy. I can't make Ha Hawks presets to work. They do appear in my preset folder and I choose them and then click apply but it does not take any effect. It is strange because in general Mediator works just fine and I can choose any effects and they work but I can't use Hawks presets. What could be wrong?

Hey everyone I know that its been awhile since anyone has messed with Medieval 2 but I have the weirdest issue, the game works perfectly until I start scrolling whether in battles or on the campaign map with Reshade it is insanely slow and laggy to a crawl any time I scroll otherwise if I don't scroll at all than its perfect. I'm sure that its Reshade at once removed the game works fine, maybe I should make the game large address aware? I'm not sure.
