    Default Announcements from Mods & Hosted Mods (Shogun 2 C&O)

    The purpose of this thread is to act as a place for any and all Total War: Shogun 2 mods and mod teams to share news, announcements and updates regarding their mod.

    It is also a thread that will be used by staff to announce if and when a mod has been relocated to a new location, such as from Shogun 2 Modifications to a Hosted Mod forum.

    Interested in mod announcements for other Total War titles as well? Find them below:


    All modders and mod teams are welcome to use this thread to post announcements, and likewise anyone may comment, but please keep the following in mind:

    • Please be considerate of other modders and mod teams when making your announcements - in other words, try not to spam this thread, but keep it for your more important announcements. There is currently no limit on how many announcements you can post in a certain time frame, but a limit may be added if moderation deems it necessary
    • Please be respectful at all times when responding to announcements, whether you are a modder yourself, or just a player
    • Presentation is everything! Setting out your announcement in a neat and tidy fashion is a good reflection on your mod. Scroll through the Medieval II: Total War version of this thread for a number of examples. Feel free to PM me before you make your post if you would like some feedback
    • Please keep your announcement reasonably brief, and small, visually. i.e. readers should be able to view the entire announcement, along with your signature, without scrolling (on a regular-sized computer screen)
    • This thread may be tidied up periodically and posts may be deleted, or edited, to make the thread easy to navigate
    • Staff reserves the right to post announcements on behalf of mods and mod teams, but regular members are asked only to post announcements if they are part of a mod team, or they have permission from the mod team - if you are unsure, please PM me or another moderator

    What types of things are counted as announcements?

    • Newly released mods
    • New version releases, patches, and hotfixes
    • New previews
    • Any other significant updates - if you are unsure, please PM me or another moderator

    There are six other copies of this thread; one in each of the other Shogun 2 Modifications sub-forums (Unit Packs and Stats, Gameplay Tweaks, Visuals and Audio, Miscellaneous and WIPs, Ideas and Proposals) and one in the main Total War: Shogun 2 General Discussion forum. An announcement made in this thread will be copied to those threads, and vice versa, as well as to the announcement thread for all titles in General TW Discussion.

    Master of Strategy has moved into it's own forum!


    Master Of Strategy series focus on campaign complexity by adding a high level of interaction between factors campaign wise. For this it implements a large system of buildings and resources. Also tactical wise delivers more interesting and longer battles.

    This update of the community language translation project UPC-SHO contains several fixes of already included mods and additional German translations.

    A new build for Master Of Strategy Sengoku has been releasead (currently beta state).

    The mod is highly develped and it's playable in it's current form. Some interesting changes has been added as well as a totally new starting map. Now free slots depend on towns and not any longer in castles (as in fots). Also the made has been re done table by table to ensure a drastical reduction in bugs.

    Master Of Strategy Sengoku has been released in TWCENTER (V35 no longer beta)
    Latest version (v35) improved loading time to just and small fraction! Enjoy this refined over the years mod with unique mechanics for SHOGUN 2.

    Christian Warrior Monks Mod- The Kishi Order
    A minor mod that focuses on creating new units that are the "equals" to the Buddhist Warrior Monks in the game. The mod is currently playable, but an expanded version that includes clan versions of the units is currently in the works.

    A huge Three Kingdoms Overhaul has been made for Shogun 2. This project has been released early due to the CA announcement. Regardless this mod is still fully playable and may boast the biggest overhaul since the morning sun. Come join the Beta!

    Changes v39
    //Campaign
    Ikko Ikki should no longer produce their own troops if their provinces rebel (not tested)
    Chosokabe extra range bonus was not working. Now they get +20 accuarcy
    Increased slot unlocking price just in case (do not affect game play, once you get the town it should be aroun 100 koku)
    Shimazu's Generals age corrected
    No longer toodler generals (got an Unicef ultimatum about it)
    Nerfed building melee and armour bonuses for camps and crafters.
    Stables food consuption reduced to 0/1/2 per level
    Fixes around Naban Quarter building (200 export and +3 cap)
    Now castles cost money to mantain instead of giving.
    Changed resource order for docs, first iron then stone
    Sengoku and Seki bune at harbour
    Increased AI tendency to develop naval tech and docs

    Nerfed samurai bonuses
    Corrected xp for lvl 8 veterancy of land units
    Monks buffed (around 2 def and changes in weird stuff, like yari being more powerfull than naginata)

    -Locked leased land, if you have one delete it.
    -Reduced admin cost logaritmic base (admin cost should be higher now)
    -Nihon Maru and Otaka Bune up. Nihon Maru cost a lot unless you own Kyoto.

    Rise of The Goguryeo is a total conversion mod for Shogun 2: Rise of the Samurai. It takes place during a period known as the Three Kingdoms period of Korea. It is from one of those kingdoms, Goguryeo, that Korea derives its name.

    A new version of this WIP mod has just been released. Now you can play as one of the three kingdoms on a brand new campaign map and with new unit rosters. At this point, the gameplay of the mod should not change much until release, however, there remains a lot to be done on the cosmetic side.

    If you wish to play a pre-release version of the mod and contribute to its development, now is the best time to do so

    Hi all, just a quick note to say that I am actively managing these announcement threads again. I have gone through and deleted some old announcements for various reasons, mostly because images were broken, etc. If your post was removed, a) sorry, and b) feel free to simply make a new announcement to replace it! They will be copied to the relevant places like they used to be (and FYI this post and others will be deleted in a while as well - if you have any questions, feel free to reply here!).

    The Historical Sengoku Jidai mod for Total War: Shogun 2 will provide you with historical armies,
    in more diverse colours, and with only actual units of the period.
    There will also be changes to recruitment, the map, and the clans.

    with a fully rewritten codebase, a ton of new features, fixes and optimizations and innumerable little changes!
