Milan has been throwing stacks of money at everything that moves, Everton has been very active and Arsenal have actually signed a striker after only 5 transfer windows of rumours of him coming.

-Kessie, defensive midfielder from Atalanta 20 mil (not sure about him, he had a great season, but I'm skeptical about 1 timers)
-Musacchio, central def from Villareal 20 mil (skeptical about this guy as well, he was supposed to be a great talent 5 years ago, never delivered that much)
-Andre Silva striker from Porto 22 mil (another young with only 1 good season behind him, though apparently Cristiano Ronaldo consider him his heir for Portugal)
-Borini striker from Sunderland, 5 mil (good backup)
-Conti, right back from Atalanta 10 mil up to 25 with bonuses (again young, 1 good season behind him)
-Calhanoglu, offensive midfielder from Leverkusen, 20 mil (this is the only one I really like, great at shooting pieces, which in Serie A is a boon as most teams play defensively and focus on stalling, he can be a great match changer, consistently good in the past 3 seasons, his last one was being the best but got disqualified for 6 months for having signed a contract under 18)

Biglia from Lazio should be next, then allegedly a top striker (Aubameyang is rumoured, I doubt it, Bellotti is too expensive as well, Morata also rumoured).
I'm rather sure at least one of those I'm skeptical about will flop.

Well he built up a bad reputation when he enforced his transfer from Hamburg. He had just signed a new contract, and as soon as he had his first breakthrough, he was already pretty full of himself and thought he needed to play for a bigger club asap. As HSV hesitated to let him go, he came up with a phony sick note for psychic distress to enforce the transfer.
Sadly nothin too unusual these days, but the way a young player like him operated after only a first few good games was a thing in Germany back then.

Yeah no. At scoring goals maybe if he has a good suport. But it is like you said he has much to prove yet. And it was 38 milion euros, and depending on objectives can go up to 40 mil.
And no he is no Ronaldo. Doesnt mean he cant be a more than decent striker.
It was a nice sell if you ask me. As imo, while he is good, he isnt that good. Not yet anyway.

Milan finalized Biglia, 31, playmaker from Lazio for 17 to 20 with bonuses (good pick, overpriced, not terrific, but Milan badly lacked someone in that position) and should sign Bonucci, 30 central def from Juventus, sums haven't been named yet.

Bonucci is a terrific choice. Most signings so far have been 20-22 years old talented kids, which is good, but with just one good season behind them. Bonucci adds experience and someone at the peak of his career. Apparently there was a breakdown with Juventus after the loss against Real Madrid and he wanted to leave. He's a def that improved enourmously in the last 5 years, going from an absolute nobody to a world class central defender on par with Hummels. This also shifts strength from Juventus, which is good because they won the last 5 seasons.

There's various issues with Costa but in this situation it's with Conte just not liking him for whatever reason.

He's a dick. While his playing style fits that of Conte, on a personal basis, he's total trash. He's petty, was sent off multiple times for unnessary, violent reactions, doesn't respect the manager.

Shame because he's a great player, but some people are like that.

Milan officialized Biglia as mentioned above and Bonucci for 42. Right now the alleged to striker as signing would be Belotti from Torino for 80 mil. Absolutely overpriced, though at least he has been scoring consisently for 5 seasons (including lower leagues) and he's 23.

Ho well. For reasons I like Diego Costa a lot. I like this kind of thuggish main striker. Beside he is not that bad. Simply put it is clearly visible in his play-style and behavior he learnt to play football from the street.

With the recruitment of Morata, Diego Costa better find a new club soon.

I hope PSG will managed to recruit both Neymar and Sanchez. Yuri Berchiche made a poor preparation until now. It seems like the staff made yet another poor recruitment choice after Jese and Krychowiak last year. The team may need a new goal keeper too. Though it makes sense to give Trapp and Areola a season to work with the new goal keeper manager.
