    is it possible to remove/change a picture in a mod downloaded off steam workshop?

    Yeah. Just go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Attila or wherever you installed Total War: Attila, open your data folder there and find the image file (usually a .png) for that mod. Just change that image to whatever you want, and you're good to go.

    If the mod doesn't have an image file, just make one yourself and make sure its called the exact same thing as the mod, eg cinematiccombatmod

    Whoa there. You said "a mod downloaded off steam workshop"? Whose mod is it? Is it yours, or someone else's mod? If its yours, you can simply followed what Caligula has written in his post above. If its someone else's mod, then only the original author that can modify the image.

    Its a different matter entirely, if your intent is modifying the mod as an entirely new mod. It possible, but you'll need to ask the original author for permission if you want to upload and publish it.
