Default How do I get Rome 1 working properly on windows 10?

So I bought Rome 1 and played it before but now im in windows 10 and for some reason the map viewing the world is laggy and my units have pointed legs and arms? I assumed it would work fine since Medieval 2 worked fine with no bugs what so ever and they are on the same engine. Help.

    Hi JimmyJughead, welcome to TWC!

Are you using discs, or Steam?

Thread moved from Rome: Total War General Discussion.

Have you tried any of this?

It's a guide I wrote to get RTW working on win10 over Steam.
I'm pretty sure it's stickied in this part of the forum :p

PS. Don't compare M2TW to RTW on win10, the two are really different. M2TW works like a charm, RTW needs some tweaks... (again, look at the link I provided above)
