Stainless Steel 6.4 campaign won't start.

I searched everywhere and can't seem to find an answer specific to steam. I installed it using a guide found here

and got it up and running. I also added bug fix 1.27. The game launches fine out of the americas folder when i click to start a campaign nothing happens. I tried reinstalling it twice and it still doesn't work.

I'm having the exact same issue and this did not help.
