Thread: Isengard Centurion - need help texturing

Default Isengard Centurion - need help texturing

really inconfidant to ask this question..

I really would like to help you create the models for this mod in 3ds max and already have the basic training in the program. I already tried some easy successfull pieces and wanted to start on something more challanging: So I tried to create a helmet, - polish winged hussar, with the face mask... (Has nothing to do with this mod - was just a test for a helmet)

    Well:

Turns out it took far too long for me to even do that mask, and it is not even close to the original.
Point is: I do not know if i am aksing to much - considering how busy all of you might be, but is there maybe a chance one of you could help me from time to time? Show me how you created such complex detail like the wings on the gondor or Rhun helmets?

It would be really cool to learn some tipps and tricks from the experts..

Hope you still have a very nice morning/day/night

You just create a plane, make as many edges inside as you need and then you give it a form of that mask by X and Y only. After that you apply "bend" modifier and wrap the plan around the head. After that make final touch.

    Negative

It actually was planned to be the helmet of a polish winged hussar, whose face masks I really like.

Is there a way to change the name of the thread to "Isengard Centurion - need help texturing"? xD

Well, it took me 12 hours and he is not textured yet, but I am pretty proud of myself, for my second 3d art so far :3
Can anyone support me texture this and - are there already special "Isengard Textures" for the armour/Helmets?

I've edited the title for ya. Once you get 25 posts you can edit your own posts, and to edit the title you'd click Edit Post then Advanced Settings.
I can't help ya with the modelling/texturing, but good luck.

    I see...
Maybe I can ask the moddler who created the first Isengard helmets?
