I remember watching the old Batman series as a kid; he'll always have a little corner in my hearth ^^

This makes me sad, but I realize that he had a rich, full career. I'm sure Cesar Romero and Burgess Meredith had been dying to see him again in the afterlife.

He wasn't in mine; I caught some episodes on afternoon television when I was in the States, and it really seemed kitsch to me.

I think you could only really enjoy it if you were in on the joke, and later on fan made parodies reflecting on the prevailing gritty evolution feel more clever.
