Getting back into Medieval II
So I used to play a lot of Medieval 2 mods a couple years ago. I stopped when mods I installed before stopped working, I read up that it had something to do with the newest OS I was using. Now I want to get back into these mods again so I'm wondering...
Which is easier to install mods on? The steam version of Medieval II or the gold edition I still have?

I bought the gold edition but I still had to go through steam. There is a guide to downloading this mod with the steam download. Once you have downloaded the mod and it's under hyrule I'm the mods folder all you should have to do is copy and paste medieval 2 game into the same folder it was in and rename it "kingdoms"

I would go for the Steam version, there's only one extra step needed to get mods to run: https://forums.totalwar.com/discussi...07-2014-update

Thanks so much, I have some nice memories of this mod and was sad when I couldn't get it to run anymore
