    Beware that too many unique strat_map models may cause random CTDs.

    You use Geomod for the fort placements, yes? If not, try it, goes 1000 time faster !
    I place the forts one by one because I want them placed somewhat precisely in certain areas and I need the coordinates anyways as they are named forts.

    Same ol, campaign progress and tweaks. I've retrofited my huge city models to this newest map build (fall 2017), with new buildings made from scratch, still need to solve a small shadow issue but here's another small preview for you anxious lot

    I've stumbled into a predicament with England's historical strat generals. Usually I will work around this by creating a sheriff of a given city if the historical earldom was not yet created, and then that historical general is spawned at the earldoms creation date. Here what I have now is for the Earldom of Devon, and Carisbrooke Castle was ruled by Isabel de Redvers (a female) which is impossible to realistically implement. Then that earldom is handed to Edward I until De Courtenay takes the Earldom in 1330's. However Carisbrooke does not appear to have had a sheriff. So I'm continuing other generals, but not sure what to do with Carisbrooke, unless I convert the Isle of Wight, and just leave a named fort there that doesnt need a Governor, or put a generic general to govern until the historical one is spawned. I may be getting too anal with all this but yeah

    Depending on dates and how far you might want to strech matters, perhaps Adam de Stratton could be a substitute?
    From around 1274, her estates were being managed by Adam de Stratton, a notorious moneylender, in association with the Riccardi family of Lucca as her bankers. In 1276 she gave her chamberlainship of the exchequer in fee to Stratton, probably as a reward for his financial services and he continued as her chief financial official until at least 1286.

    That's a good idea actually, will make a one time ancillary for "chamberlainship of the exchequer" for de Stratton, place him in Carisbrooke, and the sheriff for Exeter in Devon. When De Courtenay comes in he will get Devonshire direct, the game will have run it's course and other generals will surely spawn for Carisbrooke. Only way around having an Earl that rules two seperate regions but can only govern one at a time. Then can negate the sheriffs who are replaced by earls using
