Does Building An Armory Factory Even Do Anything?

I am building an Armory Factory in Constantium and I used the process_cq (city name) cheat to finish it quickly, I just wanted to see if my units armor would change from a bronze to silver symbol but it didn't and the stats remained the same, I thought maybe the Armory Factory only changes the aesthetics of the armor but viewing my Praetorian legions on the battlefield, it all looks the same. Is this really a useless building to make?

Huh, I don't know how that was never noticed, seeing how the Romuli are essentially the most popular faction, but yeah, that building won't really do anything. According to the edu, Praetorians (the "basic" kind) can be upgraded, but you won't see any changes aesthetically. As for why it's not showing a silver shield when you upgrade their armor, I'm not sure. It does look like that they are missing a second entry in their upgrade line in the EDU, though, on the line "armour_ug_models".
