for the dominion ....we will pick the 2 heavy infantry with exp etc and we award the "eyes of the queen" to prince naemon as the queen wishes to "oversee" all his dealings....and this in turn will give him certain protections from those in the shadows who watch him

Urcelmo stood in the trees , cloaked in darkness in the middle of the night, he wore his battered armour well , and stood tall , but his division of the first auridon marines had been through the cauldron of many battles. His forces had been reinforced by the second auridon marines , mostly dominion cavalry and almeri lancers, which he had hidden in the nearby trees. The trees rustled slowly in the cool night breeze and Urcelmo's thoughts turned to home in the summerset isles, the queen and his pain, at his departure from his place at her side, disturbed him, but duty must be done. The imperial's who previously had held the fortress, had cut away the trees close to the fortress giving a reasonable killing ground for archers and these were the type of forces that the redguard had left in garrison . Even now , with his merish eyes he saw the redguard troopers patrol the walls under the lights of torches, which flicked this way and that in the slight nights wind which blew to the east.

The redguard forces at Fort Sutch were light , and he presumed that the armies of hammerfell had moved southwards and he had faced them in battle around Velyn Harbour ,where their hordes had broken the line with orcish support and the first auridon marine's were forced back to their ships. He scanned the rememinants of his command , observing their grim faces, as they had set their hearts on this revenge and he knew that no quarter was going to be given in this operation.
In the darkness, there was the sounds of birdsong , which was unusual at this time of night , and he knew that the operation had begun , under the calls of birdsong made by the eyes of the queen's lessions .He griped his sword , trying to calm the hammering of his heart and the doubts of his mind. Slowly a small band of merish troopers had dressed up in poor light armour and began to imitate a bandit attack at the front of the fortress. The calls of alarm from the garrison rangout in the quiet of the night , and the sounds of troopers being woken and being made ready for battle, as they assembled armour and weapons was clear to makeout.

Soon he observed , what he assumed was the garrison captain who was dressed in better armour than the rest of his troopers and he looked down upon the small band of merish bandits which plagued the fortress. For the moment, a small contest of skirmishing was taking place , in which the "bandit" mer where perhaps getting the better of, with there natural affinity with the bow.It was only a matter of time , until the redguard commander made the incorrect assumption of his superior numbers , that he would takeout his superior armoured troopers and rush the small bandit force, to avoid too many causalties from this minor threat.

The commander of the redguard was no true general and his thoughts seem to jump , to and fro in what he should do. After ten minutes or so on the wall , a nearby redguard trooper , fell to his knees with a merish arrow in his shoulder , and this seemed to clarify the commanders mind. Urcelmo saw him issue some commands to his underlings and the small garrison began to formup in formation inside the fortress, and the clear orders of troopers being essembled for a sally was heard on the night breeze. It took longer than he thought , for the force to be ready , and Urcelmo was being to doubt his tactics , when on the night breeze, there was a slow rumble and metallic sounds as the portcullis was raised, and the redguard troopers raced out of the fortress , some of them still stood on the walls providing supporting fire , keeping the "bandits" pinned down , and others threw down lit torches hoping to light the way for the overly aggressive garrison. Now the redguards, began to overwhelm the "bandits" at first , but they [the "bandits"] had been briefed to hold there place, until the majority of the garrison had sallied out and the best opportunity was presented. There was the steady , tramp , tramp , tramp sound ,as the ordered garrison troopers left via the main gatehouse and as Urcelmo began to see the sally numbers begin to tail off , he gave a signal to a nearby marine , who moved forward and lit a arrow , which was swifty fired into the nights sky.

The hammerfell captain observed the lit arrow spining high into the air, and began to worry about the situation , as the "bandits" , he expected to quickly break and run didnt do so, infact some of them showed considerable skill and resistance in defence. His senses began to alert him this was not a situation that he was in control of, and he began ordering his men back to the fortress , when in the slight light of the night, he saw a wave of cavalry break from the treeline . Looking around, he checked and saw similar sight coming from all around his position and he began to shout to his troopers to hold their ground to face the charge. But the command was not heard, as cries of alarm began to be heard from redguard to redguard as they began to see the danger. The small garrison force was complety annihilated , caught in the open , some standing there ground , others tried to escape back into the fortress and some reached the gate, which remained open to receive those that returned , which was slowly overridden by the heavy horsetroops without stopping , which gained entry .

As Urcelmo saw the riders enter the fortress under the slight torchlight , he knew this battle was over. What was next ? , he pondered , as he slowly retrieved his pipe and added some pipeweed , slowly lighting it, to considered their options. His information on the rest of the war was limited to the next combined operation to take Haven. He wondered how that was going against those tough warriors from the cold north , from the dragonlands..

    -------------------------------

Back in the council offices at Cloudrest , a small conference was given, in which many of the kinlords had their say in the war that had escalated across the continent of Tamriel. The city of Firsthold had been desolated by the deadra and the veiled queen had moved her army elsewhere , by some mysical means and there was some doubt on where she would strike next. The lords calamoured in different discussion on what direction , they should progress , and several issues came to the fore, which the young queen was presented with , the table began to grow silent as more and more lords looked to the queen for her decisions.

"Firstly we must assemble the army and relieve Firsthold , from the desolation of the deadra!, I have said this before , that my people should not have to suffer, when we have the strenght to relief the Fortress", remarked Ayreen with a thump of her fist on the great table. There was a general rumble of voices in agreement , but a small number of kinlords remained silent and a notable Eldmail, lord of shimmerene shook his head in dismay.

"Secondary , it has been found , that most of the dominion armies have been found to be lacking in combat . The orcs , deadra , and redguard have all been found to have greater offensive strength than we had hoped. I prepose that our armies now be strenghted by others new forces..", commented Ayreen clearly not finished but she let the hall arupt with new voice, as discussion began anew in the hall. Some of the arguments grew heated, as competing clans petitioned for there forces to be supported. Ayreen let them talk , to ease their doubts and relief their stress. A few minutes passed , and then she banged the table again and the room slowly began to quieten, as they all looked to the queen.

"I have had some offers from the mage guilds to provide some battle mages for new regiments and also some offers of new political commissioner regiments, madeup of the Thalmor. I don't like there views, but we have need of their passionate belief, as I, have no doubt of there skill in combat." , finished the queen. and sat down as the room erupted , with several of the more moderate kinlords, upset of their positions being neglected and others at protest, at the raising of the two new groups to the queens army. She let them argue for a good ten minutes or so , letting all the ancient hatred's/feeling of neighbouring clans vent there anger.A little while later, the groups had cooled off and ready for action , the various clans continued to glared at each other over the table , as silence regained its position in the room .

"Thirdy , I must travel to Elden Root , to ratify the treaty. There will be a large ceremony in which i shall address the dominion races, and solve some diplomate issues with the bosmer forces", she hesistated, as this new revelation struck the aldmeri council, before taking another deep breath and continuing , "There must be assembled, a ceremonal guard which shall travel with me to the valenwood capital, to properly represent the strenght of our nation"

After this she stoodup , the other lords bowed , and the queen departed the room as the discussion and battles of words in the courtroom continued....

    ---------------

The swell of the another wave hitting the ships, as they began to beach was of great relief to its commander , Hirtel , CanonReeve of Dusk who had been given the commitment of the Aldmeri to support the attack of Haven . This operation had been long in the planning and involved the commitment of all 3 races of the dominion. From his city of Dusk in the southeast of the isles , the aldmeri had sailed , and seasickness had hit the troops hard , but some had recovered and adapted to the new movements , this had been helped by the issuing of dried crackerbread which the sailors had stored in abandon .The ships soon sited the beachhead which had been cleared and prepared by the khajiit, who had made a large bonfire on the beach highlighting the landing area to be, and the troops had made there way with great delight, to firm ground. Some of the troops still suffered effects of firm ground which without its erractic movement of the sea,as it effected those who had just gained there "sea legs, but aldmeri forces are quick to adapt . Within a short period of time, the troops had formed up in column and were ready to march upon there targets.

A friendly figure of Razum-Dar had arrived at the landing site whilst the troops where disembarking and greeted Hirtel , the two servants of the Queen shook hands and a short conversation was held between them , were Razam indicated their target and task to perform . He then gave a quick overlook at the terrain involved and then introducted two other khajiits troopers who where dressed in light armour , who would act as pathfinders for the army group, which was in unfamiliar terrority. After this meeting, Razam left to command his own forces , and the aldmeri began to march out, to join the battle of haven..

The lone flotilla which was left behind in Hammerfell and Wayresterian waters knew its days was numbered , so engaged two fleets of Hammerfell which were partaking of ferrying of there troops and commanders from coast to coast

The newly established Orc diplomate,Brokil gro-Luruk, tucked into his lunch in the Traders Rest , which was a small establishment providing meals and minor entertainment , here in the city of Velyn Harbour . The chicken was well cooked , although not to his usual standards, and he turned, twisting in his chair, so he could talk to a nearby downtrodden merish barmaid , to ask about wether another leg was available and perhaps this one could be cooked to a better standard. The overworked barmaid nodded at his order and moved away to confirm it with the chef. As he moved back from his normal sitting position , a slight merish figure in poor clothing slightly collided with his chair . Looking up at the poor looking altmeri , dressed in rags ,who apologise'd , and then looked in pity at the orcish diplomate in hope of receiving some small portion of food.
The ambassador waved the poor altmeri away, delighting in his suffering, as he tucked back in to ill cooked chicken which seemed to have improved in flavour. A few moments later, the orcish ambassador began to choke and then fell headfirst onto his dinnerplate , as the poor altmeri was nowhere to be seen....

Prince Gelthior leaned forward, his solid, stocky frame clung to the trees branches, to see what was happening in the merish settlement in the great bosmer forest of Valenwood . His scouts had reported that the orcs had retreated from this settlement awhile ago , to make there last stand around Velyn Harbour , but the previously bosmer settlement had been filled by various bandits, and some of the more religiously carnivorous and cannibalistic bosmer had flocked to this location which had dissolved into barbarism . Even now the rebels had given into the oldways, with bodypaints and the various tatoos of old customs and ways of the life , but Prince Gelthior had quickly seized the opportunity to further his political ambitions by giving the bosmer king a victory, and returning one of there original citys back under the kings control , and he had little regret or worry, to those that stood in his way.

He looked back at the essembled forces which was more than sufficent to take the city and made soundless hand signals, to indicate the rangers of his command where to surround the city in silence and await his command . His personall command was smaller than the grand army which still stood a few leagues away commanded by the Silvenar but it was more than sufficent to do the task. The rangers like most bosmer elfs, stood a little shorter than there altmeri cousins but they makeup for the lack of height with there agility and speed and in the woods of valenwood they were fearless and they had no equal.

A hour went by and the rebels in the city paid little heed as they started to celebrate some-sort of backwater ceremony , sacrificing a lone orc which had perhaps deserted their army , or who had strayed into the great forest, which could swallow armies and show little trace of there passing. As the rogues in the city danced around there homemade altar. The ranger commander jumped up on a nearby branch of the Graht tree and soundless handsignalled that all was in place and awaiting the order.
The prince looked down upon the unsuspecting rebels , who still danced and celebrated in wild abandon and knew there was little point in delaying matters any longer and gave the signal to proceed.

The ranger commander nodded and drew his elegantly crafted bow of horn and sinew. The bow was taught to all bosmer at early age , so most of the population became expert archers in their youth . some specialist archers could fire them exceptionally long distances , those were called Jaqspurs, they also had a special draw, "snatching and releasing in one continuous motion", which has made the Bosmer famous as archers.

The Ranger drew his arrow , sighted his target and looked at the prince awaiting his word to act , to which the prince nodded , and the ranger whilst still looking at the prince ,released the arrow and grinned at the prince, such was his confidence in his skill. The arrow which was carved from bone, and fletched with the feathers of various bird species, raced unerring towards its target and made a slight whistling sound , which alerted the other rangers to fire. The Bosmer rangers opened fire within seconds and it was a frightening prospect indeed, as a rapid curtain of accurate misslefire began to eliminate all the rebel bosmers, with devasting arcuracy and efficency. Five minutes later , the ranger captain made a special animal-like call into the forest and the hum of bowstring silenced almost as quickly as it has started. A few hundred rebel bosmer had either been felled or were now droping from when they stood or had danced just moments before , leaving one lone rebel bosmer standing around untouched , in a carpet of the dead. The Ranger captain , indicated to the prince , that the last one was for his personal kill , as the lone rebel ran off into the forest. Prince Gelthior grabbed his own bow from his shoulder and grinned in return to the ranger captain , and lept to another branch , looking forward to the hunt to come. But the real hunt will be when , they face the orcs one last time , he thought , as he speedoff into the forest to entertain himself.

    ---------------------------------------

The Capital was centred in the City of Eldenroot, which was in a ancient and mighty Graht oak tree which dwarfed its surroundings, it was so large and mighty , that the storys say that it was the father of the forest and all the other trees where its children. There were other mysterious tree's again of a similar size that moved around the forest, one of these named Falinesti , but it has walked off and is missing at the moment , none knew of its location , but it is a to all sense and purpose a moveable city. The City of Eldenroot had 2 entrances on the ground level and has a large merchantile and temple area at its base , with upper levels containing libraries and other centres of learning. But learning was not the problem that the current King Aeradan faced, as the state stood with signicate problems on the bows of this tree , as the saying went.Valenwood was one of the more tolerant races of Tamriel and this usually made it one of the more stable regions, but recent events had caused signicant frictions, within this once proud and calm kingdom.

The causes of the kings pains were many, firstly in the early years of the Interregnum , the khajiit had attacked and been beaten at the battle of Sphynxmoth. The Khajiit commander Eagle Eye, retreated his troops, into the new vale of Falinesti, where they had been surrounded and butcher'd ,and in some cases roasted and eaten. Indeed , the people still sung songs about it and many a bosmer bow had been strung by using Khajiiti gut , which was particulary prized. There was no little surprise then, that co-ordination between forest and the people of the sands was differicult , although in recent days , it seems that co-operation was slowly improving.

Another issue was the arrival of Queen Ayreen to Eldenroot , as inter-elf relations were not good , as the bosmer had long memories of the damage done by the Maormer, and the more recent civilwar ,which was started from the immigrants flocking to the "settlement of New Joy", a small ramshackle village near Cormount[another giant Graht oak]. There had been heavy immigration to this new settlement, and friction between the peoples carrying new ideas of the outside world , which clashed with the traditional views of the cormount population ,which resulted in "New Joy" being raised to the ground. The peoples of Cormount , used the issue of the "Razing of New Joy" , as a political cudgel and it resulted in the Blacksap Movement, a political and religious-motivated faction, which was founded in the town and supported by the Gorinir ruling family, who wanted to strengthen the Green Pact among Bosmer and legitimize themselves as the rightful Camoran overlords of Valenwood.

Naturally the tensions rose after Aeradan himself allied with Queen Ayreen in the dominion , and the blacksap movement rose in rebellion . This was beaten back down with help of altmeri forces which seized the town and killed most of Blacksap supporters during the so-called "Massacre at Cormount". Thus having the altmeri travel to the woods , was raising some fears within his native people and tensions were high.

"Have no fear, your majesty" , replied one of the courtiers of the throneroom, "Things go a pace at Vulkwasten , with the Prince and the Silvenar,[the Voice of the People] and also at Haven, where the dominion have agreed we can take possesion of , once the nords had been eliminated."

King Aeradan , slumped in his chair , his beard starting to grey , with the worry of state, he waved forward another glass of fermented milk, to cure the blinding headache , which beset him, these days and waved at the courtier to continue , as he received a goblet of the potent drink.

"Queen Ayreen reports , that Glaras's perfomance in this co-operative operation has been explementary and she marks the general down for extreme praise and reward for her tactics in the current battle there."

King Aeradan , looked up at the courtier to assess his worth and to take his measure, then took a swig of alchocol , and waved the courier to continue as his thoughts turned to happer days.....

The khajiit's ambassador looked on awe , at the incredible strength that the dominion have jointly brought to bear down upon the city of haven . Firstly the morrowwind contingent had been subdued by a attack of The Mane himself leading a charge of a massive army to bring down the valiant dunmer who had heldup in the fort but the walls where broken with the use of some ballista shots[last turn] .But now the main event was in full flow , with 4 mighty army groups bearing down and settingup camp bringing the city down with a mighty siege.

Jo'nir Kharspaer adjusted his many coloured robes and with a small escort marched up to the mighty doors of the city of haven, only to find it shut and faced only jeers and snide comments from the nord on the walls. The elegant speaker was upset to find that the nord didn't care a whit that he had arrived at the city to negotiate its surrender and indeed he was informed that the commander of the city was holding a nord celebration which involved the last of there mead supplies.Expecting a garrison worried about the massive dominion army which had arrived at its doorstep , the nord where instead holding somesort of party in which the chanting of somesort of celebratary song could be heard over the landscape.

"This one desires to be heard!" , shouted the khajiit diplomate , getting angry as he raised his voice to be held over the nord's singing.
Some of the guard talked amongst themselves , until they nominated a speaker to answer the enraged khajiit.

"what do you want , cat?" answered the guard spoke in a casual unhurried turn, as undoubtly his thoughts turning to when it was his turn to return to the meadhall.

"This one , has come , to see you surrender your weapons and giveup the city?", replied the diplomate on more certain ground.

The guard and his fellows on the wall , all started to laugh in response, which infuriated the khajiit even more , so much so. that he hopped up and down in his fury., the guard was getting fedup of this intruder and tried to explain.

"We have been ordered to stand and fight , and I will not betray my honour ,Shor wove the skein of our life's a long time ago. We will not live one instant longer. A Man's fate is fixed, so fear profits a man nothing!", replied the guard looking at his two handed sword critically , looking for a dull edge to sharpen.

"Dran khrassa!, Jaji vaba sheggori! " , replied the confused diplomate , not understanding the nord customs.[translation= ,Dull claws! (General curse),That is crazy!]

"Time for you , to go little cat, comeback in the morning, with bigger claws!.", the nord guard smiled , "I have only these two hands, I can do no more!" , before leaving the walls to find some mead for himself and join in the singing ...
The diplomate withdrew with his party with as much dignity as he could muster , still smarting as he heard the nord's raising there voice in song.....
