I was wondering if "your damn colonial scouts" were just a tadge overpowered. I know Hawkeye and his ilk were splendid shots. But surely that was to do with the range at which they could score a hit. Should 45 frontiersmen really be able to stand in open ground 25 yards in front of a battalion of Coldstream Guards and render them combat ineffective, while apparently wearing Kevlar? As things stand, you need two line regiments of regulars in favourable battlefield conditions to eventually break these trappers and homesteaders. And don't even think about going at them with a bayonet or cavalry. The guys are ninjas.
