For those of you having TLR Steam issues

On my old PC, I had TLR installed and running fine with the disc version of the game which was fully updated, however, I could not seem to get it to work with the steam version, no matter what I tried. Browsing the forums I can see I am not the only one who has had this issue.
I have managed to get it working and have linked the file.

To install:

1. Download https://mega.nz/#!EOZ3GCpa
2. Extract The_Long_Road folder so that it is inside the mods folder. Default = C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods
3. Find Medieval II: Total War in your steam library. Right click and select properties. On the general tab click "Set Launch Options" and add --features.mod=mods/The_Long_Road

One thing to note. This may differ from others but I had problems with the game crashing with 4K resolutions. Setting to 1920x1080 fixed this and I have had no issues with many hours of gaming.
