Yeah the friendship and bond we all made here was something different. Lot of them are still together on steam, play MP and what not. We had a real sense of community back in those days. Now social media has just exploded and it's all overwhelming.

You guys gave me a lot of moderate, lot of spamming and trolling lol () but eventually you guys also helped me in seeing the lighter side of a gaming community.

There was also a pretend nazi kid who used to make strange funny threads lol. Good days.

Oh gee I can't imagine what I/we put you guys through back in the day lol. As someone who's since become a moderator of various forums and communities over the years I cringe at the sort of things I used to get up to in my younger years here. In spite of all that though I've made some of the best friends I've ever had on these forums and I'm still in contact with many of them to this day, albeit not as frequently as I'd like. I'm glad you remember those days as fondly as I do haha. I just read a thread on the TD about the threat of transgenders in Europe or some like that and suddenly I don't feel like I missed all that much.

Maybe if you're a peasant who can't run a stray dog off his property on his GPU. As for me, I am transported to a realistic time where Creative Assembly didn't care about it's fans and instead went for easy cash grab IP's involving dragons and lizards and giant rats (and not just the ones running CA either). I've never felt more engaged by a historical simulator and if you disagree we can meet in person and duel to the death for honour. I hope you meet my challenge.

I just haven’t bought one since getting burnt in Rome 2, which is insane to think about. At that point I’d only been on here for two years and it’s been nearly 6 since then. I was just starting 10th grade when that came out. Add me on Steam if you want guys, as I occasionally still hop on there for CKII still. Also on Reddit under the same name active in /CrusaderKings, MarvelStudios, Baseball, NFL, asoiaf etc.

All jokes aside Warhammer TW 2 is actually pretty enjoyable so long as you're drunk enough to forget how much you've actually spent on the game and it's DLC's (which I usually am). Rome 2, Attila, etc I haven't touched since release. They just leave a bad taste in my mouth and remind me of better times. Also I noticed your Steam avatar is a Drengin, which brings me back to the good old days of Galactic Civ 2. I gave you an invite on Steam, we've probably got a few games in common.
