You see, that's out of context.
On the contrary, my post was an ironic contextualized remark. As The Spartan put it,there is no convincing indication Spicer is antisemitic, BUT, in fact, there is a controversy- ergo the title of the thread.

Gaffes are only as controversial as the press wants to make it. The press is gunning for Spicy largely because of the way Spicy treats the press corp. Otherwise it'd have ended when Spicy apologized. Much less apologized again.

We know, the corporate press is jealous of the "free" press (Breitbart and Fox news)

Fox is about as corporate as you get. And yes, the MSM are jealous - jealous of the situation under previous presidents, when they controlled the narrative completely and the White House treated them with much more respect than, honestly, they deserve. I mean, do they seriously expect Trump to pander to them when all they've done during his campaign and presidency is Trumpbashing? Whether you like Trump or not (and I don't), you must admit the press hasn't exactly been neutral on him.

That's the best you got? An answer that isn't an answer to how if they wanted to accept his apology the story would've been dropped five days ago no matter what you thought? Please. Try harder.

    Try harder.
It's not difficult. White Nationalists And Neo-Nazis Use Sean Spicer's Hitler
As Merkel put it, comparing Nazi war crimes to present-day situations "leads to nothing good".
    Bingo.

The press took every opportunity they saw to attack Trump. That's not their job.

Or he was just really, really desperate to sell this idiotic strike on Syria? Even if Spicer though Hitler wasn't that bad after all, he wouldn't be so utterly retarded as to say something that might indicate this in public. It was a slip of the tongue, nothing more.

US just can't come up with a good press secretary.

Nothing wrong with that, the fish dies by it's mouth.

    Indeed, I agree. But,

In my opinion,it's not just a gaffe, sometimes the unconscious can talk right past our ego - it was a political Freudian slip.
The most amusing freudian slip I have ever heard, it was Cameron saying in 2012, "We are raising more money for the rich".

Tony "thank you for the Hezbollah view" was pretty great.

Mass media outlets do not deserve respect not because they bash Trump (had their owners told them to, they would praise him just like they praised Obama and Bush).
It is because mass media is dying. It doesn't exert as much influence on public opinion as it did a decade ago, just look at Brexit and US election, when globalist side lost despite mass media broadcasting propaganda 24/7 in its support.
A dude with webcam and a mic can have as many subscribers as some giant media monstrosity like CNN or BBC.

The mass media supported Brexit ( Murdoch, Dacre, Desmond). Only the socialist Mirror and the liberal Guardian were pro-Remain, the Independent sat on the fence. The BBC was neutered by it charter, ITV didn't care and Murdoch owns Sky News.

i could quite literally grab his mike and tell him to bugger off because I could do a better job. Most of us could.

Of course you could. So could Spicer. At a high level this is literally ritualized warfare and he and Trump literally feed the press behind the scenes. The question is if and when it ends up becoming Administration on Press warfare like the Nixon days. Does a brilliant job distracting you though.

No he doesn't , he's utterly incompetent. Provides endless material for SNL though.

That is actually doubtful. Hell you don't even have the job and you already made a gaffe. You meant to say grab his mic. I know someone who named his unit "Mike."

Do some research that at least goes so far as reading legit articles.
