    Default Selecting the heir

    .
    .
    .
Heeding the call for action, I set to task and implemented the 'selecting the heir' script of miguel_80 for SSHIP. While at it I also tinkered with other stuff as can be seen at the screenshot:

    1. Change of font color, the font itself is available at my other mini mod.
    2. All body text starts now lower to separate text from picture
    3. The body text has increased contrast (my eyes were having a really bad day with the old contrast)

I also disabled the flood disaster as it permanently disables the building of watch towers and permanently reduces movement in the afflicted region.
Additionally I corrected minor errors in the script (missing logic tokens) and 'prettified' the layout with squid's tool.

Simply extract the download into the main folder of the SS6.4 directory (7Zip is freeware)

NOTE: changes will only come into effect at a new game.

No, as the factions are different. You need to update the relevant files with the right factions' names.

The factions don't really have an impact in this (as long as they have a 'normal' family tree), it's the several edited files that are not the same as in SSHIP:

    data\export_descr_character_traits.txt
    data\text\export_vnvs.txt
    data\text\historic_events.txt
    data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\campaign_script.txt

The best idea is to simply go via the tutorial as Lifthrasir suggests. You may wish to grab the descr_event_images file from this download to get the green title and the dark body text in the messages.

No, SSHIP and DLV are 2 different mods with their specificities. You have to follow the tutorial and make it specifically for DLV.

The link gives you a zip file containing a folder name data, itself containing the relevant files.
If you go to the game directory, you should have a folder named mods in which you'll find a folder named SS6.3 (with a data folder as well).
So basically, unzip the data folder in the SS6.3 folder and accept to merge these 2 data folders.

Hope I'm clear. If not, let me know

Edit: not save game compatible. You need to restart a campaign.

earlier pist you said to extract in the ss6.4. Is it the 6.3 data folder that the select heir need some to be extracted? If that is the case...I copied the zipped select heir file. Pasted it inside the mod/ss6.3/data folder. I RIght clicked and extracted. There wasn’t a notification of needing to accept a merge. And I went into th s game...which is running without issue, but there wasn’t a chsgce to select next heir on the first turn.
