Default CUF files for the display of special characters

One day I got tired of guessing the names of my Seljuk cities as the special characters simply got omitted in the settlement view and in the messages. So I sat down to make some CUF files to fix this.

Simply extract the download into the data folder of the SS6.4 directory (7Zip is freeware)

Example settlement display name, I have not managed to move the hyphen after the name, but that is certainly better then having no special characters at all.

Gig, can you explain how to make these CUF files? I need to update them with the Norse alphabet (such as Þ/þ, Ð/ð, Ó/ó, Ǫ/ǫ or Í/í). Many thanks in advance.

The trick is to find a suitable font that actually displays these symbols (have you tried your symbols with my CUF files?).

    Otherwise you follow this tutorial.

My suggestion: change one settlement's name to a batch of special characters you can think of. Use 5-10 at a time so that you know which ones are not shown.
