Default wermez's progress in EB2 modeling

I dont want to suffocate existing threads with my posts, so I opened new one.

Trying to learn how to make EB2 models in 3ds max. I started in December, so I am progressing slowly each week. I am currently focused on making helmets, but real goal for me is to learn to model heads and faces. That is still too complicated to me, so I use existing heads to model my helmets around them.

Here is cavalry helmet I made this night. It is inspired by old illustration of roman eques.

Actually looks pretty sweet. I looked upon modelling myself but got overwhelemed by the sheer amount of learning and work that was needed. Keep it up!

Just as I thought that the armour models in EB2 were extremely varied, there is more of them. Nice work man. Could you give me a link to the tutorial on how to do 3d modeling and which program to use?

Autodesk's 3D Studio Max is our tool of choice, augmented with some M2TW-specific scripts and tools. The older the version you can get, the better (2011 or 2014 are most compatible, 2016 has some issues).

If you haven't started learning something, while more modellers are always good to have, we need texturers/skinners even more. We've got more modellers than skinners in the team, having more people who can texture units (done with Photoshop, I believe) would have a greater impact on unit creation.
