Dear members of the Curia,
Swiss Halberdier joined TWC in 2007 and since then, he has made and shared several modding projects. He started off modding Medieval 2 and later Empire (2009). He continues to contribute being great modding content to the community of TW enthusiasts. He received the Artifex in 2010, was awarded the "rising star" award in 2009, and he was a core member of the Radious Modding team from 2012-2016 which produced mods for Shogun 2, Rome 2 and Attila.
He has created personally "Additional Units Mod" for all TW games since Empire. His units are beautifully crafted and a joy to use in games. They are incredibly popular for that very reason.
He has also created the "Unit Pack Compatibility Project" mods. This is also for all TW games since Empire. This mod allowed greater flexibility for gamers to play vanilla and major mods together. Swiss Halberdier discovered a language problem regarding the use of custom Units Mods related to several languages. The UPC Project made several mods compatible so that the names and descriptions of the units are displayed. This was in more languages than just English as well. The UPC mods are used from lots of modders as a base for their own language files. You could say he is a modder for modders.
Swiss Halberdier is a gracious modder; always answering questions about his mods and regularly updating them.
Let's have a run down of some of the contributions;
- "Unit Pack Compatibility Project" which fixes the problem of the language system if a player uses another language than English
- Created the "Attila Custom Battle Crash Fix" which fixes the problem if too many Units Mods are used together
- Created the "Attila Custom Battle Faction Unlocker" together with Radious
- Invented the "Area of Recruitment (AOR)" system for Attila together with Ahiga and shared my knowledge for other modders
- Created a basic "How to customize Units Packs" tutorial for the players, small tutorials for Napoleon and Shogun 2 and discovered the "Unit limit in the recruitment queue" issue
- Helped Daniu in 2015/2016 several times to add and investigate several highly needed new database table schemas for Attila and figured out the "Region Array Numbers" of the startpos.esf files
